He'll be ready to go by week 1, complete with a protective brace. By October, the brace is off, and he's ready to go full power RG3 mode!

If that was the case it seems like he should just stay out until October.
There is literally no reason for him to play week 1, especially if he doesn't even play any in preseason. Hes just gonna look like he did these last few weeks.
A limited RG3 = not as good as a healthy Kirk Cousins
He's going to be 100% by week one. And not playing in pre-season doesn't mean he won't be ready, he'll be doing rehab and conditioning the whole time after surgery. He'll still be taking snaps, watching tape, just in non-contact situations. The brace is more for mental purposes, so he can get a feel and start trusting himself to cut. Once his confidence is back, the brace comes off. It's not there for "protection" or whatever.

I have absolutely no idea.Too many factors to accurately say how long,(that and I'm not an orthopedic surgeon nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night).
I'm just excited for all the Adidas comeback commercials they are going to do. You know it's going to happen
All in for RG III

a couple of articles posted up in BRBN this morning on RGIII back for 13 season......
RIP Bubba, you are missed (gone three years March 16th)
Not sure about the rehab by while someone has a suture kit out, can we sew Dhall's lips shut?
Former occupant of Seat 1, Row 19, Section 328.
I just want him to sit out the 2013 season. If this happens again it will be a horrific end to one of the most promising careers in the history of sports. He's 22, no need for him to try to be a hero and this is now a very delicate situation. UGH I hate this, it could have all been avoided if someone told him he's done for the season after the Ngata hit. $#*!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless of his rehab I'd start him on the PUP list in 2013 get him more than 100% right and let him hit the field sometime in October. Even if he is ready for opening day I'd let him sit just a bit more to completely heal
Things are not always as bad as they seem at first glance. After what appeared to be a bad situation in being drafted to back-up a superstar, it looks like Kirk Cousins will get his opportunity to shine in the spot-light some, maybe even in part of the 2013 regular season. Drafting Cousins in the 4th round has proven to be a brilliant move by Shanahan, and probably a blessing in disguise for Cousins. I think we're in good hands no matter what happens. Both QB's have gotten very familiar with the system this year, so next year we can expect them both to excel!

He will start day 1 of 2014, not before. I think Mike Shanahan needs to have his frigging ass whipped... what a tool.
It's this "rush him back mentality" that has gotten us in the situation we are in. I said in the Eagles game that we were better off with Cousins than a 70% Griffin. He should have never been back.

My initial feelings are that if Griffin is not 100% by week one, he should be shut down until 2014. Obviously it hurts not to have him thrilling the fans next season, but investing in the next 10 years is more important. Cousins has proved capable and conscientious in his rookie year and should get the opportunity to earn a starting job somewhere in '14 and a couple draft picks back for the Skins.
Best case scenario, we win the SB and have found our new quarterback (albeit not the one we thought). Worst case scenario, we go 5-11, keep a young, capable backup quarterback with plenty of game experience, and get to look forward to RGIII returning in his full electrifying glory with a full seasons worth of mental reps under his belt.
Personally, I think the team with Cousins will be good enough next season to win 7-9 games against a tough schedule and we can recoup a draft pick or two from the RGIII trade. Along with getting our 18 mil back in cap space, the Skins could still be on track to make a major push in '14 and beyond.
They won't rush him back this time. He has to be 100% in order to play. With that said... and based off the recovery we've seen Adrian Peterson and Wes Welker make, I think he will be 100% come week one. Just like AP and Welker, RG3 loves the game of football, he truly cares about his team and his fans, and physically he is in tip top shape. All of these factors will make his recovery for this ACL tear easier for him then it may other players.
