They need to be as cautious about this as possible. The trainers need to look at his body language to see if he's struggling vs. what he tells them. I don't want to see any limitations (beyond what are expected) before putting him back on the field. If that is until Sept 2014, then so be it.

if it was torn the whole last month, someone needs to be fired from the medical staff. But, my theory is that he tore the LCL on the second drive of the game and that caused the instability in his knee that caused the ACL tear in the 4th quarter.

Robert will be ready for week 1.
After watching the way he rehabbed from his earlier injury, I have no doubts he will be in shape and ready.
He already tweeted this am to look for him when the season starts.
he has a beast of a body, but it is his mind that propels Robert to accomplish anything he wants !!!!!!!!!!!

agree 100%. Physically he is in peak shape and he's only 22 years old. He'll work just as hard to be back as AP did and I think RG3 will be in "beast mode" come week one to prove all the doubters wrong.

Yah, i figured it out after the pft story. Sill, wish it was real, then at least it would be a imaginary injury... But nope, its real.

As long as he is back before october i think the 2013 season will be a good one. Kirk is at least good for 2 - 2. If the rehab takes longer than that its ok too.

RG III is my guy, but i'm actually excited to see what Kirk can do with a lot of first team reps this summer. He may surprise A LOT of people. I know, the cover story will be "QB Controversy" but the real fans know better than that and know it's Robert's team when he's ready

    I'm thinking it'll take him 6-8 months.

I seriously doubt that. Unless K. Cousins sucks there WILL most certainly be a controversy and the media knows that this is the perfect fanbase to stir the pot. An argument could be made that the build up is already starting.

Absolutely not. If others want to hop on board that bandwagon, so be it. I know full well Robert is the leader of this football team and when he's ready to take back the reigns, he will.

Mid-to-late season (or even 2014) until he is back 100% (i.e. at early-2012 level). But he doesn't need to be back to that level to start/play games, just has to adapt his game.

Thats exactly what I think happened. You could see he had hurt is knee again on the play before he threw his second TD - he was just not effective after that drive.

As for the rehab it needs to take as long as it takes - we dont want RGIII pushing too fast or feeling any pressure to get back for the start of 2013. If he is ready great - but lets take the cautious route here!

Nah. This is RGIIIs team period IMO.

If Kirk plays and lights it up its just building his longer term trade value.

I think it will take as long as the doctors have told us. If you aren't involved it's just foolish to speculate on how long it could really take. They said he can be ready to play this upcoming season so that's what we should hope for.
