Wow, he's really losing it. I think that went exactly as Morgan intended it to go.

I think hard core righties stock up on ammo at every chance. When they lose elections, when there's a mass shooting, when the ground hog doesn't come out etc. etc..

There's a lot of people that are secretly hoping for some armeggeden to occur.

Never got the whole 1770's logic as if gun rights is so people can overthrow the government. It says right in there that militia's "should be well regulated". Basically the army reserves.

To be able to actually take on the U.S. military you'd have to have equal capacity which is insane

I feel bad for any group that finds itself with Alex Jones arguing on its behalf.

Trust me, this morning when I logged on to facebook a friend of mine had proudly posted the 1776 line as his status, there are people who honestly would go to war if their guns were threatened. I'll refrain from personal reflections right now, because I'm so appalled at the entire mentality being expressed lately.

I had a friend post on Facebook that people needed to stock up on guns and ammo for the upcoming revolution

Most people in this country don't know who Alex Jones is.

His radio show reaches hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people. He's like...I don't know. Glenn Beck or Rush but 100000x more intense and he actually believes what he's saying. A severe conspiracy theorist (govt responsible for 9/11 and OKC, among tons of other things) with a huge megaphone.

He's all over the web. Listen to a minute of it, and then be thankful for the bubble, and fearful that so many people but so much stock into what he has to say.

Bingo. He wasn't looking to have a real discussion on the issues. He wanted to tee up a babbling loon and let him rip. It served two purposes. 1. It gets people talking about a show that is getting destroyed in the ratings. 2. It elicits the response in the OP "Yeah we really want a bunch of these types of people running around loaded". As far as Morgan is concerned it couldn't have gone better.

Yep, I had no idea that character existed until just this minute. He's like John Madden and Ted Nugent had an old fat child together. /shudder.

I am not a member of NRA< but do consider myself "pro gun rights". However. the thing I want to see is registration for every gun. After working in the courts and law enforcement for 15 years, its insane the amount of stolen guns from burglaries out there and too many gun owners either don't have the gun registered and/or don't have the serial number. So when someone is caught w their stolen gun, nobody knows.
We typically can get much better sentences on gun law violations within federal court. You get more time for possessing a stolen gun than just having it without a permit, or even a felon in possession.

Whenever you read a poster on here start talking about "new world order," "FEMA camps," "fiat money," "Bilderburgers," "Illumanati," "vaccine conspiracies," and so on, chances are they get their information from Alex Jones, either directly or indirectly.

Well gee I guess citizens need nukes and tanks too! After all the government buys 'em!
