I just don't want him to rush back. If he needs to take a year off, so be it.

He works hard and I'm not saying that he's going to suck or not come back strong. I know he can do it, I'm just worried for his future health and growth.
^^^^This is how I feel too.

I'm the biggest Redskins' fan and want to win too, but I am generally concerned with the health and welfare of people, NOT JUST FOR FOOTBALL. If Robert doesn't play in 2013, I could care less as long as he's given a chance to HEAL PROPERLY. I was one of the few people that didn't care if returned for the 2012 season, considering he was out there limping around on a sprained knee. I hope when he's done with football he's still able to walk normally without chronic pain like so many retired players.

As much as I want to win a Superbowl I understood 2012 wasn't going to be the year, and as a fan I was willing to look at his future development as the number one goal of the season. Robert's growth as a QB was and is, to me, the NUMBER 1 priority, and building a solid roster around him should be second. Now like a new toy on Christmas we've broken him, and will probably do so again due to Robert's competetive nature and the organization and fanbases desire to win.
I think EVERYONE wants him to heal properly. Nothing wrong with hoping he can do so quickly.

Every patient always wants to know when they'll be able to do this or that. We are wondering the same. No need for high roads here.

Proverbial get well SOON. we all want him fully well and a have a fulfilling career. No one knows the recovery time yet. Nothing wrong with wishing a SPEEDY recovery.

I'd actually like that. Watching RG3 play every sunday is bad for everyone in the DC areas health. All you do is worry everytime he gets hit or goes down. Hoping he gets back up again. I'd rather have someone that just sits in the pocket. The kid can be fun to watch, nice guy and all, but he will be like Vick and not play full seasons.

Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will undergo total reconstruction of knee for complete tear of ACL and LCL. Recovery projection: 6-8 mos.

Hey guys, hope Bob makes it through surgery ok. Was a delight watching him play in person here in Tampa even though he beat us up.

I would donate my acl lcl McL, I got good knees and I'm only 22 in relative good shape. Let him have mine but seriously I'm really willing to give this man my knees

Why did this thread turn into another "who should we re-sign next year" thread?

First, you don't know for sure until you cut him open and look. Second, the ACL was torn because the Patella graft was torn. The Patella graft was used to replace the previously torn ACL. It appears they are going to use the Patella from the other knee this time to repair it again.

Some of the questions I have concerns what type of screws were used in 2009, I assume bio screws so he doesn't have to remove metal ones, and exactly how bad is the LCL?
