    1) Make Robert quit his stubbornness to put his career at risk on the field for one single game thus stopping him from playing injured. This last one applies to Shanahan too (vs Ravens).
    2) Find a couple of very good OL to protect him

Russell Wilson is able to scramble a lot and scramble in the middle of the field and avoid injury because he uses his body well and slides early when he has to. RG3 needs to learn the simple art of sliding early and getting out of bounds. Those early games in 2012 had him taking some hellacious hits as he either ran for 1st downs or TDs up the middle. I cringe every time I watch those runs.

The bottom line for me is that Griffin needs to improve his awareness and being smarter about protecting himself when he runs.
If a sample size of three had any value at all, we could conclude that RG3 should cut out the scrambles and run the read-option. But, from watching a much larger sample of NFL games over the years, we know that doesn't make sense.

Do you see the read-option as part of the problem? He took virtually no hits running it in the second half of the season (at least that I can remember).
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

All of his injuries this year could have been avoided by better decision making from RG3 himself.

He needs to learn how to slide correctly.

Maybe Kyle Shanahan should do some cutups of Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady sliding, and he can watch those over and over again while rehabbing.

We make logical deductions based on the evidence provided by all of our experience. Why would you limit your evidence only to RG3's experience in the second half of the season when you have been watching the NFL game played for years?

Have him slide better and throw the ball away.

Right now in the pocket he plays like Rothlisberger, which is why Big Ben has suffered injuries. The thing is though is Ben has 20+ lbs on RG3.

He will have to start to get rid of the ball quicker, either on throw aways or just quicker passes

OL is the real answer... especially on the right side. Less pressure means less impromptu scrambles.

If we never ran the read option he would still be having his knee fixed today. He got injured on busted passing plays.

EXACTLY! We need less pressure coming through the line.

Your statement is true but irrelevant because going forward the idea is to intelligently reduce his exposure to injury. Dumping the read-option is the smart way to do that.

Less pressure from the middle too.
