Now that our 2012 season is over I'm taking a look back to find our unsung hero of this season. RG3? Played great all year outside of being injured? Kirk Cousins? Not imo.. Alfred Morris? He makes a great case for it.. Jim Haslet or Kyle Shanahan? Again good cases for each could be made.
But the unsung hero as I see isn't a person, squad or coach. It's heart. Before our bye week the only heart I saw on the field was Fletch, Jax, RG3 and Morris. Something during that bye week happened. Our team found what it needed to win....Heart. It's the one thing I feel comfortable giving 100% credit to, for us being NFC East Champs.
Championships are lost without it as are entire seasons. A 7 game winning streak to ensure a play off run would have been impossible without it. It's the single thing that has been lacking in this team as a whole for years. We saw heart after Sean Taylor died (RIP), CP pretty much willed us into the play offs and the teams we fielded those years "played their guts out". It's nice to see heart strap on a jersey and make the starting line up again. I give credit to the entire organization for finding it's heart and simply because of that reason have a lot of hope moving into next season.
I re-read the rule, this is my first topic so I hope I did this right, please let me know if I need to change anything.
