Thread: NFL.com per PFT: Redskins reportedly very concerned about RG3's knee

We have always known cartilage damage is the wild card risk. But there is no public information out there that describes the state of Robert's cartilage. Given the history of injuries, importantly the meniscus damage, it is likely that there is cartilage damage, but not certain. And there are procedures that can be done to correct cartilage damage. Therefore, this article says nothing new and is speculation.

And I ask again....besides the offhand comment in the Adickes article...has the meniscus tear been mentioned anywhere else and been confirmed??

Why wouldn't the Redskins be "very concerned" about RG3's knee? Is this really news?

Because if they weren't very concerned, we as fans would be concerned about the level of concern the skins have on this situation... really?

    No news here...

Oh it's most def someone just stirring the pot. No one has ever made such a big deal of this ACL. Not even Tom Brady's. There's nothing you can do until about 4 months from now when he's walking regularly with no help. It's all talk about his "future" ACL injury which people assume will happen because he's had too. Point is, he needs to run hard still, but dude needs to slide. And the league needs to penalize someone for that late hit on RG3 which caused him to look like he needs to be in a wheelchair.

Wow this is getting ridiculous, we get out of the media as the laughing stock of the nfl and now we are the entire center of nfl rumors, almost wish we could just suck again and be off the radar. I'm going to have to stay away from all nfl related sites until next season so I don't get rumors and facts mixed up.

LOL. Seriously. The guy they just gave up a ton for just had MAJOR knee surgery. If it was me, I'd be somewhere sweating bullets too.

So basically, all the reports of the cartilage damage/repair/whatever are speculation? I'm asking b/c I haven't been able to keep up with what's going on the past few days.

I knew about the ACL/LCL procedures, but I'm only now hearing about the meniscus.

Dr. Andrews said full recovery and expects him to start next season....

Dr. Neal ElAttrache ( Tom Brady's orthopedic surgeon, Lakers and Dodgers consultant ) said he expects him to play next season and hopefully to start the season and be the same athlete.

Hhmmm.... whom to believe... Two world renowned surgeons or one PFT writer??????????????

I'm really worried he'll never be the same player.
