Default HP: R.I.P Conrad Bain (Diff'rent Strokes star)

    R.I.P Mr. Drummond....

Conrad Bain is dead at age 89. TMZ reports that the actor, best-known for his long run as father Phillip Drummond on the hit series "Diff'rent Strokes," died Monday night in Livermore, Calif.
While details are scant, Jennifer Bain, the actor's daughter, confirmed the news to the website, saying: "He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father."
Bain appeared on 179 episodes of the landmark "Diff'rent Strokes" sitcom, which ran from 1978 to 1986. Bain played a Manhattan millionaire who adopted the children of his former household maid, an African American. The children were notably played by child stars Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges and Dano Plato.

He looked just like my father in law. It's almost creepy.

At least someone on that show went on to live a normal life. The three kid actors did not turn out so well.

Yes, loved Maude....great spinoff of All in the Family. Norman Lear had some great hits in the 70's.

So, who's still alive from that show? Aren't the child actors dead or in prison?

Willis is apparently good friends with Santana Moss (he said so on his fb page, along with a pic.)

I can't believe he was just now 89. I think he seemed 89 to me when I watched that show in the early 1980s.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."
