    I'll never get that.

He's not going eat any of that animal right? Probably keep the fur and toss the rest?
Not when state game officials tell you to shoot this non-native species on sight(Virginia anyway). Most people don't object to the kill order for the snakehead fish.

He lives in the woods and has small children.
Reason enough to kill a large predator that close to home.

Snakehead is good eating. Well I'm allergic to fish but we catch them all the time and people fight to get them from us

on a related note, I come from a family of hunters. Both sides. I think my Uncle has lived off of squirrel for 20 years now. I don't have a problem with that. The only problem with hunting I have is when it's for an animal you're not going to eat. Wolves, or coyotes or bears or big cats. You're just killing to kill then. Trophy hunting I guesses it's called. I find that despicable. (Understand population control hunts. Obviously I'm not including that)

Back to the flip side, my mother has become a vegan. We've argued about it a few times over the years. She's tried to tell me that we aren't made to eat other animals. I always say the same thing: then why the hell do we have canine teeth?

There was a nice pond in the Laurel Sand and Gravel pits that i used to fish at. It was about a 1-2 mile hike from Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, MD. One day I was back there with a friend, and a friggin huge Coyote came out of a big mound in the ground and started to get aggressive with me. I started yelling and swinging my fishing rods, and that was enough to scare him off.

I went back a few weeks later, and he/she was back again, but this time, had 2-3 little pups trailing behind.

This was 10 years ago -they were here then

Every year NE Pennsylvania has a hunt to control the population. Apparently the population may be up, as it was one of the highest counts ever, including a big 47 lb-er.
