Dad? Wanna have a catch? Gets me every time. Crying a little bit as I type it.
That's the ony movie where I have cried. Wait, that's not true-I cried at the end of National Velvet as a kid.
Quick story-I had just watched "Field of Dreams" for the umpteenth time, and I thought I would call my Dad and we could "bond" over the movie and I could tell him how much I miss him, etc. etc. I called him and told him I had just watched "Field of Dreams" and his response was, "I've never seen that movie". Talk about taking the wind out of your sails! It was a pretty short conversation.
I don't look at it like that though. I think there exists a fine line between no longer being a manly dude and being relegated to nothing more than a household appliance. Take for example my associate at work. He never goes out with the guys, because his wife feels his place is in the house with her. (As he has told me, not my opinion) She always supplies an excuse to where he must scurry home with his tail between his legs. (my opinion lol). I'm not speaking of places of ill repute or a night out getting hammered - I'm referring to the Skyfall movie. Which, is fine, if it works for them. I wouldn't stand for that. I am definitely more domesticated than I ever thought I would be, but I'm happy. If that revokes my man card, then so be it. I'll take my gold spurs over some card anyday. ;-) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Spur

If I'm being honest, I lost my man card years ago when I began studying poetry in college. If not then, I was once caught watching football by myself, eating camembert on fancy water crackers while drinking champagne.
So with nothing to lose, I'll admit I got chills watching Phantom Of The Opera during "Music of the Night."
"John Wall will never be as good as Kyrie Irving was in his first week in the NBA" - David Falk, published February 14, 2013.
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."
Man Card Definition: A Man Card is required proof of manhood in order to become a respected member of the male community. It can and will be temporarily revoked if privileges as a Man are abused.
Plain and simple my friends. Its a credit card style, customized Man Card. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, and Revocation cards to check your friends when they get out of line and unmanly.

MAN CARD REVOCATIONS:
Sometimes guys can get out of hand. When they step over the unmanly line, it is our duty to report them and submit them for Man Card Revocation. Then, the community can vote on whether or not the revocation is deserved. Submit a Revocation and let the community decide.

Formerly known as Nunya Bidness per arrangement with ES staff
Lmao. You're the first person I thought of when I read his post. Swear you were. Me and you have talked quite a bit outside of ES over the years and I think we share the same opinion on literally everything except that. I just don't know how you like women's basketball. I think it'd an abomination. By far the worst sport in the world.

I always believed that one of the benefits of education and wealth was that you could hire the uncouth to do "manly" things. Whether you confirm that they have a man card is up to you.
