I don't know. I'd be alright with bringing in Tebow, but ONLY to use him as a fullback.

Also, do we really want to deal with the Tebow circus? Let's let some other team deal with that nonsense.

I can see your point but I don't think he's worth the circus that follows him. Most successful organizations in the NFL generally stay out of the headlines.
I think Shanny and the team had their fill of media spotlight during the whole Haynesworth saga.

Strangely I like the idea if it was known from the beginning tebow wasn't ever going to have a chance to play qb unless it was an emergency role.

I firmly believe he is a team player and could bring a lot to the table as a FB, rb, h back, te and special teams player. Would love to kick the tires and def think he would stick

Two QB's, one Burrito. Robert 'the cyborg' Griffin III vs. Kirk Cousins

And as many have pointed out here, apparently Tebow has no interest in playing a role similar to what Jensen played. If Tebow just wanted to play football, he would have found his way to the field at some point last year. Like you say, there is no proof that he "asked out" of the wildcat packages, but there is also no proof that he was humiliated last year. There is plenty of smoke that he thinks he is a QB and wants to play QB. I don't think it is worth the hassle, regardless of whether he accepts another role. I think in his mind, he is always going to be a quarterback, and I don't think this team, as it is currently constructed would entertain signing him. Maybe a few years ago.
No, a few years ago it would have been a disaster because we were desperate and would have asked him to do too much.

Now, we are good and can afford a "luxury" like Tebow.

Tebow will only be good on a team that is already good. He will be a disaster on a team desperately trying to be relevant.

Might be a little annoying right after we make the move and/or in camp. But if he is playing FB/TE/HB, doing well, and the offense is doing well, there will be no circus. The "circus" stems from people proposing the notion that he should play QB.... It gets worse if the team struggles. No one in their right mind (even an attention seeking media member) would suggest Tebow replaces RG3.

No matter how you explain it, I don't want that side show freak in Washington. He can't pass. He can't pass. He can't pass. End of story.

While I think the idea of having a multi-faceted threat that can line up wide or come out of the backfield would be a great addition to this team, I don't think Tebow is the answer. He would attract a great deal of unnecessary media attention and has already made it clear that he wants to be utilized specifically as a QB. It would only serve to add controversy to our team.

We can address these needs in the draft. Don't get Tebow. He's a really nice, high-character guy with a great work ethic, but he just doesn't belong in Washington.

Why would a FB/HB/TE need to pass?

I "threw" that in for good measure. See my first sentence. No to the sideshow freak. I think I hear circus music.

I just don't see him accepting the role at this point. And would it really be a luxury? We have no idea how it would play out, but it certainly did not go well this year. And the media circus would be staggering with RG3's rehab and Tebow. It would be like nothing we have ever seen.

I am not going to rule out it working from a football perspective, but I am also not going to assume that it will work either. There is no guarantee that Tebow at another position would be a success. If it was a failure, it would be an even bigger mess.

I would LOOOOOOVE Tebow in burgundy and gold!!! We carried Grossman all year as an insurance policy to our insurance policy! Why not have KC1 as our sole #2 (might even have to start 13' as #1) and have Tebow as our emergency #3 and in the mean time give him 10-12 snaps a game.

Can you even imagine defenses having to account for #10 AND #15 in the same back field???

All thats missing from our play calls is the Pistol, Read Option...PASS!

For those who say Tebow can't pass, here is the overtime TD vs Pittsburgh last season...my goodness how many times did WE run this play this season!!!???

Yeah, the "Tebow effect" is real. I live here in Denver, and I watched this town tear itself apart between Tebow worshippers and non Tebow worshippers. it got ugly.

Not to mention the fact that Timmy might sitll hold onto some hope that he'd get a chance, and Skip Bayless would scream "Tebow!" on first take the monday morning after Robert throws his first interception.
