Well what it all boils down to for me is that Tebow isn't worth anything to us. He doesn't help us in any way. Just my opinion.

I agree with you actually. But it seems like the media has more inflluence then it should in any story. I would just hate to see us caught in a storm that could cause damage to the team when we are just turning the corner. You are right, it shouldn't factor in but with some of the things I've seen the last several years, it at least makes me pause to think about it. A little.

With Tebow comes drama. Period. Yes, the Jets were a complete mess last season, but Tebow invited more criticism then ever.
There's just no real football reason to have him here, no role he could fill that couldn't be filled by just about anyone else we have on our football team. You're right, he's not good enough to play quarterback. But he wants to play quarterback. We already have two quarterbacks better than him. Are you going to take the ball out of Alfred Morris' hands to have Tebow run it? Is he going to be a better receiver than anyone we have? Is he going to play fullback?
The question you have to ask with Tebow is "Is this guy any better than anyone we have here already?". There is literally not a spot on the field that we need a guy like Tebow, unless he magically learns how to play centerfield and be a free safety. Any integrating Tebow into the offense takes time away from developing the actual offense. And why in the blue hell would I want to take the ball out of Robert OR Alfred's hands just to give Tebow a couple reps? It makes no sense.
Honestly, if Tebow bought into the idea of playing FB or TE, I'd say sure bring him in for cheap. However, as many have said he believes he is a QB.
I just wouldn't see the value in bringing him in. The negatives far outweigh the positives, and I like Tebow as a person.
Yeah, I actually like Tebow. Rooted for him all last season. But I want no part of him here. He wants to be a starting QB. Needless to say, that aint happening here, under any circumstances. Don't even want him to run wildcat packages. We don't need the circus. No way this happens, anyway.
Media frenzy + Tebow is determined to be a starting quarterback for some reason + RG3 Injury + Kirk Cousins already being way better than Tim Tebow = He should not be a Redskin under any circumstances.
Oh, and yes- having a media frenzy surrounding your team and putting them under a microscope is the last thing you want, especially with a young group of emerging stars. Whether it should or not, it inevitably causes locker room problems because the players listen to what is being said on ESPN almost daily.

"It's like catching a stack of pancakes."
Sweep the leg.
Not just what is being said on ESPN daily, but the players will get very tired VERY quickly about having to answer questions about Tebow all day, every day.
It will become an unwanted and unnecessary distraction. Just at a time when it seems like this team is on the verge of being a serious contender in 2013. We don't need it.
I have nothing against Tebow, but there is nothing he can bring to this team that the Redskins can't get from some other young, hungry player. One that is already on this team, or in the upcoming draft.
A player that won't have all the media baggage and hoopla. The team already has a "celebrity" player that gets a lot of media attention, and that's RG3, and he is a thousand times the football player Tebow is. The Redskins don't need another "celebrity" player that brings nothing to the table.

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
I don't think you appreciate Young's talent enough. He's not often utilized but he is very good in every phase of the position when called upon.
Um... no. The Tebow circus was most intolerable when he wasn't even in New York. Remember when was throwing ducks and just barely scraping by in Denver yet was an incredibly controversial and divisive figure? That was substantially worse than even the Jets circus, IMO.
I don't think the guy is a very good football player and if he's not going to pan out as a quarterback he isn't even a unique talent. There are plenty of guys built like him in the NFL and more than just a few of them are bigger, stronger, and faster than Tebow. Many of them also have substantially more experience in the role you want him to play here. I don't get what the allure is.

Aren't we forgetting shannys golden rule? Practice well and you have a chance at getting on the field, well the knock on tebow is he's horrible during practice so why sign him when he wont play or worse take a roster spot for someone who can! No way to tebow he belongs in the cfl not nfl...
The Redskins had the biggest media circus going this season. Most of the Tebow 'circus' this year was regarding the total implosion of the Jets, and how they traded for him and then didn't even attempt to use him. The 'circus' in Denver was a result of him working his magic and succeeding. I wouldn't see a problem bringing him in IF he knows his role.
Tebow is hell bent on being a QB. He would be better served going to the CFL.
He's not worth the medai circus. If you think it wouldn't be a circus. you live under a rock.
