You're trying to replace the player. That's the wrong way to look at it, unless you are trying to sell jerseys.
How many rushing yards did we have last year from the RB position vs this year from the RB position? After you look up the answer, what would make you think we couldn't get that again next year without Morris?
And BTW, I wouldn't trade Morris for Revis. Just because Revis is a player I don't want on this team. However, I would trade Morris for a high draft pick.
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."
The reason you hold on to Morris is that there is no other back on this roster that is as effective as he is. Royster was overrated from day 1 imo and he contributed nothing this year. Helu fumbles and is injury prone. If you trade Morris for a high draft pick you have to turn around and draft a RB with that pick which is a pointless cycle.of events.
Now he could find another late round gem, but that's always a gamble. You risk having a strength potentially become a weakness. Morris is very young and is among the best in the league. No reason to change that.
not sure if someone has shared this or not but this article suggests that the Redskins are in the mix.

Royster, Helu, Torain, and Hightower combined for 1,489 yds rushing in 2011. Do I think 1,500 yds rushing from the RB position is possible without him? Sure, but I think the Redskins can do better than 1,500 yds from the RB with Morris in the backfield. In addition to the yards, Morris started every game. Portis was the last RB start them all (2008). I see your point but I respectfully disagree w/ trading him.

Kirk Cousins is the starting QB week 1 2013, why the hell would we trade him?
I think our corners are pretty good. Our safeties are where we need the upgrade.

Revis would certainly be an upgrade, but I dont know if I would part ways with Cousins. Love to see Revis in the B&G, but unless he is willing to wait until next year to get paid, some other team will pay him 12M+ a year and that is a lot for one position that isn't QB. Skins have to eventually extend Alfred and RG3 to max type deals so Revis might not make what he wants here.
