Thread: CBSsports: Jets to explore Revis trade

AlMO for Revis is a move I make grudgingly, and I gladly make this move if we get a few picks back in the bargain. Right now, it seems we'd have to give Kirk and a 2nd, or Almo and Kirk to get it done and that's just too much value even for Revis.

That and he's shown himself to be all about how much he can get paid. I like the kinds of players that have been brought in lately. Good character, team first players. Stick to that script.

When I first heard the news that Revis was on the table my interest was piqued. But then I realized that the only trade ammo the skins would have would be draft picks. We've given up way too many draft picks recently I don't think they could afford the price of Revis.

I am literally in shock, I wouldn't trade Morris for ANYONE. We have a great set of youngsters and I'll be damned if we give ANY of them up for some money hungry, injured jerk.

We literally can't afford that. Almo has an incredibly affordable contract. Revis an incredibly expensive one. Revis costs 8.5 million more than Almo. We're already 4 million over the cap, and we still have a ton of guys we need to re-sign.

Vontae Davis, a far inferior corner, went for what many thought would be an early 2nd to Indy. I don't see Revis going for the same price...

Alfred Morris is a great player, but he also plays the NFL's most expendable, most replaceable (especially given our coach and system) it's least durable, and arguably it's most non-impact skill position. Revis when healthy is far and away the best player at one of the top 5 most important positions in the NFL.

Morris for Revis straight up is grand theft for our side if you ignore the contract and the ACL. As it stands with those factors, Morris for Revis and some sweetener is a fair trade.

No thank you. Ah the off-season, where every trade rumor or release gets its own post

Not sure I want a player that can not rattle off his kid's names without stopping to think about it... remember Hard Knocks? lol

We can get 6-7 SOLID years out of Alfred Morris! Not to mention we have him CHEAP until the end of 2014!!!

RG3 and Morris are the only players on the team IMO that are untrade-able!!!

And trading Morris for Barry Sanders straight up is grand theft for our side if you ignore the age.

    No way, no how.

I hope we are not really entertaining the idea of trading for Revis.

Jets | Want high pick for Darrelle Revis
    Thu, 24 Jan 2013 10:37:10 -0800

The New York Jets would want at least a first-round pick if they were to trade CB Darrelle Revis, and Revis would want franchise quarterback money coming off ACL surgery. It will be very hard for the Jets to find takers in this position.
