Hey All,

So towards the end of this month, I have an event with my company that Eli Manning will be attending and it got me thinking as to what I could do or say to him (in a friendly way of course) to let him know that I am a Redskins fan and I think that he sucks without being so blunt.

This got me thinking about my fellow ES members so I wanted to pose a few questions.

Keep in mind, this is a professional event, so I wont be able to wear jerseys. Most likely a suit and tie event.

1. Before getting into suggestions, I am curious, what other opposing players have you met, and what have you done to snub them, or let them know that you dont think highly of their play or team?

2. If you had this opportunity and had almost a month to plan it, what would you do or say?

Feel free to be vulgar as I would also like a few good laughs, but I am also looking for some mroe serious suggestions to rib him that wont ruffle any feathers and crack a few smiles. Perhaps a nice note from all of us at ES?

Well, my idea would be predicated on you getting to the mic. Hopefully your are making an announcement or something. If this is the case then here goes...

"Ladies and gentlemen, before we get started I would like to recognize a very special person in attendance tonight. He has set the NFL on fire and is without question the best quarterback in the NFC East, arguably the entire NFL. Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome number 10 himself... ROBERT... GRIFFIN... THE 3RD!"

Wait for the light to hit him as you gesture in his direction and then, graciously of course , say "Oh... Eli. Well, thanks for coming."

Then give a little "Go Skins" as you exit the stage!

Whatever you do, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get it on video and post it here so we can all enjoy it together! HTTR!

I respect-hate Eli. Whatever you do, make sure he knows that you're motivated by being a fan of a rival team (not just a jerk). He's got a sense of humor, by the way, even though he's not real open about it. I think that asking him to sign that picture would be perfect. Giving him the "drunk with Eli" book would be funny, but you should give it to him in person so he knows it's from a Skins fan.
