I really don't remember seeing any news regarding how the Redskins are going to fix the FedEX field for next year. Haven't even heard anything reported from a "source" about it.
Anyone hear anything?

The only folk (bar those members on here still stuck in the past) that don't see the need to upgrade the field to the latest hybrid technology are the actual organisation itself by all accounts.
The only real debate is the fluff one we continue to have between ourselves.
I'll be real surprised if much of anything different happens with the field this off-season. Which is unbelievable in itself being it's one of the main tools of our trade.
Hail.

I'd be shocked if something is not done to the field. At least a total resodding this spring. Whether it is the hybrid or synthetic stuff, it does take time to research and install. Like the stadium changes in the past, we usually find out once it begins. Nothing is going to happen until at least spring weather arrives.
The mistake this year was the field was not resodded at the halfway point. Don't know why. But the field has typically been resodded halfway through the season.

How is Fedex Field???
That should have been your thread title.

With all of the unsolicited complaints, you'd think they would look at it.
Could be the reason we've had more hamstring issues with our skill players this century than any other team...or if it could be tied to RG3 then i think Danny would look into it. Feel bad for him that he keeps having to sink money into polishing the turd that is the Jack when if he had his way he'd build a state of the art badass stadium to rival jerrah world and have a retractable dome for the SB.

It seems that the Skins will be more prominent in the post season now that we have the players and coaching to make that a reality. With that said, it seems like a no-brainer that the field should be up to the task and show that the Skins are a high class organization. This team is not lacking money so that cannot be the issue. really, why would they NOT do something to enhance the playing surface?
So I am guessing nothing from any unnamed source and also definitely nothing officially has been announced.
I think they are going to keep it natural but Redskins better put some money into this field and protect its most prized the organization had since Sammy Baugh.
Doubt we see any news on this until March.

I'm not sure why you'd expect anything in the middle of winter. Let's get to spring first before there can be any serious discussions about it.
Interesting footnote...one of Snyder's very first acts as owner was firing the groundskeepers because he claimed the field was in terrible shape.
