Hard to believe there was a time when every NFL/MLB venue featured thousands of obstructed seats. Giants fans didn't seem to mind on this day.

That definitely is the Polo Grounds. Looks like the Redskins pounded them 49-14. Also beat them 13-3 in Griffith that year. Going to try and find the box score to determine or at least guess at the play.

Yeah, can't even tell which team is which! Not only were there obstructed seats, the field was too: they are fighting over the ball at the goal line...next to the friggin' goal post! Unbelievable that they ever thought it was a good idea to put four big, solid wooden unpadded posts on the field of play.

I think it is is horizontal dude on top of the pile (can't see his number). Kind of looks like the ball in his left arm. Wasn't the ball bigger and fatter back then? If so, I would guess that the Skins are on O and Baugh is QB handeding off.

Which probably makes Baugh the TB because I think the guy you are referring to is Battles.
