Not because they are wrong but because what they report on sometimes is so down in the weeds it doesn't even register with the public at large and listening to these guys you will think it's the next Watergate. Still smart, well informed... interesting, they make you think...... I will tolerate Chris Matthews in short doses...
Hey, my main source of news is Stewart and Colbert, so take of that what you will.

To be honest, you should verify with any news source, particularly nowadays with all the rush to be first, there isn't a whole lot of time spent being right. I don't mind there being people in news with points of view and making arguments as to why their points of view should be taken. The problem comes when that gets mistaken for real news, which it sometimes is on Fox.

Yeah you are probable right.. Gone are the days of Edward R. Murrow, or Walter Cronkite where you could not only trust the source but everybody was watching the same source.... So if they reported it as a big deal, it would get consideration as a big deal.

You know you're wearing the dunce hat when Fox News says you're too dumb to be on the air.
“I just wanted to say to the fans … in D.C. and across the nation, they’ve been great for us, cheering us on. At away games they show up in the masses and at home they really made it feel like a home-field advantage. We said this when I was in college, ‘We got a chance to sit at the dinner table and experience success and it was a good meal. But now we want to go back to get dessert.’ We’ll be ready to get dessert next year.”

Robert Griffin’s last words at the press conference.

I'm guessing this has something to do with the housecleaning.

Didn't O'Reilly rant about NBC not covering the Drone story when they were the ones who broke the memo story and had it all over their website?

I think I might be the only person still watching CNN, though I only watch bits of Out Front and AC360. The daytime stuff is idiotic and banal, and Piers Morgan drags out the same topics ad nauseam.....weeks of asking every friggin person in showbiz about Whitney Houston....now every show is about guns.
Still, foreign correspondents like Ben Wedeman (though his queenish drone of a voice is severely irritating) and Arwa Damon(sp?) Are a cut above others.

I agree with you about Dick Morris being due for firing, but I can't agree with you about Palin or Napolitano.

I don't watch Fox, but IMO Palin was a good choice for them since they are not shy about their pro-Republican bias and she is a leader within the party. She also is an interesting figure to have on Fox because while she is sort of "establishment", she also sort of isn't. She seems more independent-minded than a lot of the people they put on their shows.

Napolitano is about as partisan as Ron Paul - technically he's a member of one party but his views often conflict with those of his own party and his reasoning is usually something that's worthwhile to hear because it's based in philosophical ideology rather than partisan nonsense or pragmatism, which is 95% of what we hear from other media sources. I don't think they got rid of him due to his partisanship - I think it was the other way around. Republicans can't have a guy on the air doing stuff like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvRWjFLvXZI - at least not on their dime.

I am glad they picked up Kucinich, though. That has potential to create some great debate.

We never miss her show. (He even DVRs it for me on Fridays, and we watch it right after Bill Maher ends at midnight.) Even though we know the news and talking points of the day, she always has that one thing that no one else is following.
I had a customer grab the remote at the bar the other day and ask me what channel Fox was. I proudly announced, "Thank God, I have no idea."

Napolitano I think was too Libertarian to placate Roger Ailes insatiable desire for a Neo-Nixonian GOP. Palin is just a mindless cheerleader who is exposed the minute she steps out beyond just jotting down a 250 character tweet. How Greta Van Susteren kept a straight face while Palin went into a full blown display of stupidity while discussing the "Sputnik moment" is remarkable.
Maddow is intelligent and not as vitriolic as her Fox counterparts, but her viewpoint is still too one-sided and agenda driven for her to appeal to me.

    .
Napolitano is a horrible legal analyst. He may not be "partisan" in the sense that he always favors the GOP position, but he is extremely partisan in that he misrepresents the law in favor of his own preferred libertarian principles. That's fine for an opinion guy, arguing about how the law should be changed. It's terrible for a legal analysis telling you what the law currently is - and that was what they wheeled him out to do.

I think Palin was too expensive to placate, too hard to manage, and was growing out of favor with moderate and main stream republicans...

Too expensive to placate... Fox was giving Palin more than a million a year contract and for that she didn't even leave Alaska. They built her a studio in her home in Alaska, where she did her reports from. Somebody did a calculation that she was making thousands of dollars for every sentence given on air in 2012.

Too hard to manage... When Fox decided to cancel her interviews for editorial purposes (... GOP convention changed format due to weather, fox was adapting. ) Sarah would go complain to her facebook fans and make Fox look bad. Why should fox pay her a million dollars for that.. Again she wasn't topical cause nobody current in the GOP would talk to her.. She was interviewing John McCain 4 years removed from reliance...

Growing out of favor with moderate and main stream republicans... Her feuds with Karl Rove and Dick Cheney made news, as did her apparent snubbing by organizers of Mitt Romney’s nominating convention in Tampa last summer. More recently, Colin Powell criticized Palin for using a “racial-era slave term” in describing the nation’s first African-American president.

Ultimately Fox decided to offer Sarah a contact. A contract significantly less than the million a year deal she enjoyed in 2012... Sarah never satisfied with taking a step backwards simple declined it.

I agree with you about Kucinich. I find him to be a refreshing out of the box speaker.. I don't always agree with him, but I like that he makes me think. I think he's also a rare consistent liberal voice...

Yep... Agree with her or not, she's smart, and her stories are well researched. She's just head and shoulders above everybody else. I'm always impressed with her.

She's very partisan but not like Fox News who makes up facts and use elementary school arguments to prove there points. Maddox gives you real world, honest, examples often ones nobody else has when she's supporting her positions.
