1.Washington Redskins-Strongest young core per any of our teams. Great coaching. Really think in the next 4 years we will have a SB win, especially the year or year after the penalty is lifted. I say a year after because I see some quality signings that offseason but I assume they would need a full season in Washington to for us to reap the benefits.
2.Washington Wizards- Surprise!!! The Wizards actually have a extremely solid young core who seem to like to play with eachother. The NBA is about to gain parody in the next few years. The Wizards will have Wall, Beal and im predicting either Muhammad or Noel in this years draft. If they are able to keep Seraphin, Booker, Webster who are all great role players I think they have a shot at being a Clippers like team.(ton of depth).
3.Washington Nationals-Baseball is hard to predict. Injuries and slumps seem to make it nearly impossible. I do believe the Nationals can win a World Series but I don't see it all adding up for them.
4.Washington Capitals-I think it will be a while before the nations capital gets a hockey title. I don't see them winning with Ovi.
5.DC United- Honestly I just want MLS to work on getting better talent for their teams. Idk what that would take soccer is not my main sport I'm not sure about the funding or salary caps however the MLS should work on strengthing their image by spending money to make the league more exciting. I think soccer could flourish in America, if you gave them players and rivalries to get excited about. However I think D.C United has the least amount of talent and light at the end of the tunnel.
    Jeeez,...

I have it completely flip flopped.

    1. Nationals
    2. Caps.
    3. Redskins
    4. Wizards

The Nationals the most equipped at the moment. But hell, if the Redskins fix the secondary, get hot, they have the talent to do it if they stay healthy

This is ExtremeSkins and that is what makes this so fun. This time last year the Skins were not even in the conversation. Heck at the beginning of this past season, we were thinking that 6 and 10 would be a successful season and progress with whoever the new QB was. Now we are talking the possibility of a title. Yes, the dynamics have changed.

Anyone voting for the Redskins is deluding themselves. It's the Nationals without any hesitation.

    No way.

Strasburg, Gio, Jordan Zimmerman, Bryce Harper, Ryan Zimmerman, Ian Desmond etc. The Skins are strong, the Nationals are loaded top to bottom, offensively and defensively.

The NFC East kinda sucks. Philly is beyond horrible. Dallas is mediocre and the Giants have fielded the two worst Super Bowl teams I can remember. Two 9-7 championships and they couldn't get away with it this year. Winning your division at 10-6 means it was not very good.

It's the Skins unless the Nats develop a killer instinct in October
Are you serious? They weren't even supposed to make the playoffs and ended up with the best record in baseball and one out away from the NLCS. You're talking about a young young roster without its best pitcher. They were also playing the defending champions who are playoff-tested to death.

If any team needed a killer instinct it was the Capitals and because they didn't get one, they lost to the Canadiens and their window has subsequently shut quickly.

    From first to last....

Nats: Good young core and could have done some damage in the playoffs last year without that decision to keep Strasburg out. Alot depends on Gio's PED case too. Bryce Harper appears to be the real deal.......

Redskins: Some key positions are aging, but any team that wins as many as they did to end the year.....c'mon. Of course this is all tied to RGIII's knee. Count me in as the world's biggest Alfred Morris fan.

Capitals: Window is closing. Today versus the Rangers they were outshot like 20-9 in the first period. Ovie seems to be losing his magic and his intensity has faded a little, Backstrom is nonexistent so far and Mike Green got paid and quit. WTH.

Bullets: Ever since MJ drafted Kwame #1, they've been cursed. Although between a HEALTHY Wall and Nene, they are competitive after a horrid start.

As a St Louis Cardinals fan, I at anyone who wants to put the Nats before the Redskins. I'm a Caps fan, but they are seriously a team that can't get out of their own way (new coach, players not living up to billing, etc.). As far as Wizards, I'm a Utah Jazz fan, they would need a magical spell to lift them to a championship. Redskins would have to be number 1 in this poll.

Was it true last season, Brave? Cards took them down, and will again. Redskins, compared to Nats, have more opportunity and talent to run the table. If you believe in Nats, that's a great thing. And I commend you for your fandom, but my Cards owned the Nats and it showed. Redskins went down cause RG3 went down. Honestly, ask yourself this, if RG3 stays healthy for playoffs, what do you believe happens? Now, think about Nats run vs.Cards. See the comparison?

There is a difference between talking trash and being objective.

You got lucky with the win because the Nats choked. You didn''t own the Nats.

But smack talk is your friend.

The veteran laden Cards beat a young, inexperienced team. A very talented but young team.

Basically, you did what you were supposed to do. Congrats.

Let's just see how 2013 unfolds my friend.

PS: And you really don't believe the Skins are more talented than the Nats.

Not smack talking, Chip. Just stating a fact. As far as Cards getting lucky, I respect your opinion, but I would say go back and look at the series. It was hard fought for both teams, but clearly the better team won. As to your assertion that I'm **** talking, I would say I'm having fun with friendly rivals. We are all Redskin fans, and I love to talk about the differences out of the realm of all that's Redskins.

Nonetheless, Cards own that ass til they prove otherwise. Good luck on this season, btw. And don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Nats get a title (albeit not at the expense of my Cards ), but I think the Redskins will realistically win a title before they do.

Thanks, Brave. And yes, I realize that the Nats are very young and extremely talented. And I will go on record to say that they are a dangerous team going into this season. As I stated to Chip, I wouldn't mind at all to see the Nats get a title. It just won't happen if they have to face the Cards .

And I disagree, a healthy RG3 and a few pieces added, the Skins go farther than the Nats. But I respect your opinion and hope for us both.

You should have lost the final game to the team the MLB gutted before moving the Expo's here and give all revenue to Baltimore's owner.

You eaked by a young team. That's trash talk.

Ah yes, I forgot, a championship-tested and proven team overcoming a young, inexperienced one without its ace in a sport that is the epitome of forcing you to wait your turn is enough to drop a potential 100-win team below one that had to rely on a single player to win the division. And said player's health is in the air.

Makes 100% sense! I'd act surprised but hey, there were people 25 years ago who said MJ would never win championships
