Who should be the punt returner? The explosive Brandon Banks or Richard Crawford who is fast as well.
I'm curious what other skin fans think on this?

Richard Crawford IMO, we should release Banks, or is he a free agent? If so, let him walk.
Banks is gone, baby, gone. Especially since Danny Smith ain't here to bail him out again.
Neither to be honest.
But I do think Crawford has a good future here.
Crawford can at least play another position, while Banks is just too small. And I got tired of watching him go from sideline to sideline or right into the middle of the defensive pack, resulting in no yards gained.
There is no place on the team for Banks. Nice story if he had the talent to be an NFL player. Verified by him being inactive last couple games. Crawford can do return duties.
No disrespect, but is this a serious question? Banks' fate was sealed when he was inactive for the Baltimore game and after Crawford had the big punt return in OT.
I think we forget just how much of a weapon Banks was for us in 2010. He simply never recovered from his knee injury and played softer after that, that's all.
But, yeah, he's pretty much done. Especially now that Danny's gone. Our new Special Teams coordinator seems to know how to select return guys better than Danny Smith, so I'm looking forward to seeing who ends up winning that spot. It might not be Crawford... I'm sure one or more of the guys we draft will be able to compete there as well.

I want to say Banks but I have to say Crawford or a player to be named later.
Always had a soft spot for BB cuz I share his bodily dimensions but it's obvious his time in the league is over.
I'm a real big fan of Crawford, not just at PR but also as a corner. I think he and Chase have a chance of giving us some real depth at corner this year. We'll see how they really turn out as its unlikely to have two low round / udfa corners be that good from the same year (let alone on the same team), but I have a feeling that at least one of them will become a legit nickel guy if not starter in this league.

A recent blog post : The Risk of Competition
Banks will not be here next year. Crawford can help in the secondary, Banks can't help us at wr.
Do you even watch Redskins games? Because if you paid attention you know Banks lost his job last year.
Whoever doesn't go into the end zone to field a punt... and then bring it out... like an idiot.
So, Crawford for now. But I think he has more of a future at corner.
