I was actually waiting for the news that Robert was going on "Vacation" to France for the off season cause i thought Stem Cell research was tied up in legal mumbo jumbo here in the States but excellent to hear this is why the inside camp and doctors are optimistic.

I agree. I guess the "play it safe", "think of the worst case scenario" type of posts showcase the real personalities of some of our fellow posters. I cannot have that pessimis mindset. I think I would be very depressed if I did.

I am certainly hoping that RGIII will be fully ready opening game. If he ends up having to sit a few games in Sept due to rehab progress or medical concern....then I would not argue to hard with that decision. But just to say that he will sit out the entire season merely to ensure his "full" recovered return the following season makes no sense to me. So.....what if he sits in 2013, and gets injured in preseason in 2014? Injuries can happen anytime. I would rely on the medical specialists...i.e. Dr. Andrews....on the timing of his return. I would not listen so much to RGIII.....as we know what type of football warrior he is, so he may not still be fully candid with Shanny. Sure Shanny will err on the side of caution this time moreso than the game vs the seachickens....

Shannahan won't have a job left in D.C. if he starts Cousins all season and sits a QB he spent so much on. Dumb thread.

I think we should cryogenically freeze RG3 until such time in the future as his knee can be replaced with something that has no chance of ever being hurt again. Our investment in him demands it. And don't get all wishy-washy about it...we can freeze his fiancee as well so he won't be lonely when we wake him up to lead us to the promised land for the 2043 season.

No one explicitly states it. But put 2+2 together here. Andrews openly admits he's experimenting with stem cells in his football player patients with knee injuries, and that so far it's been wildly successful. RG3 is one of his most famous clients. Who plays football. And has a knee injury. Everyone involved is very optimistic about a quick (relatively), full recovery.

Add to this Adrian Peterson was a James Andrews client last year as well and had an unheard of recovery. I think they keep it hush hush because the politics behind it but that's speculation on my part.

*Edit Ah thanks for posting that article i hadn't seen it. My father is a Radiologist in the NoVa area and he told me that was the rumor going around DC.
