...I wasn't really clear in my previous comment, but I was trying to say that the only reason Boldin was traded was because Flacco forced the Ravens to give him a sweetheart deal, leaving no room for Boldin's contract. That being said, SF is a good place to land for Boldin....
How much fun is he going to have in that Ravens locker room sporting that shiny superbowl ring he earned at their expense?![]()
Actually Flacco's contract was cap friendly especially this year ~7mil
Flacco's contract didn't force Boldin out, Ozzie made a business decision
With Caldwell as playcaller and his background with the Colts and the style offense I think they're looking for a WR that fits that Harrison/Wayne mold and Boldin isn't that type of WR

It's actually on Netflix, don't know if you have that but all the episodes are on there.
More thread-related: I actually think is a fantastic deal for the 49ers. Boldin, to me, hasn't showed signs of slowing down and gives Kaepernick a physical receiver to throw to besides Davis and Crabtree. Kind of annoying seeing another NFC team add a quality player ..

This move, trading a great player to your brother for nothing, violates the competitive spirit of the league. The 49ers and Ravens should be charged $10 mil against the cap, docked a 1st round pick each of the next 2 years, and should be forced to let Boldin hit the open market.
