Default NFL.com: Dallas Cowboys among NFC's worst heading into 2013 season

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...om-of-nfc-heap

There's good news and bad news for the Dallas Cowboys.

The good news: They won't have to hear the familiar refrain this season that they're once again underachieving and failing to live up to their incredible talent.

The bad news: That's because the Cowboys are the flat-out worst team in the NFC East and one of the four worst teams in the conference. It's not even up for debate.

I think this might be the year that they're not predicted to win the East...

Even better news: they'll have a high first round pick next year, that they'll blow.

I would prefer if they were still seen as preseason favorites to win it all. If Jones ever starts to think he's not generating enough buzz he might try something new... And I want him to keep up the good work.

They won twice as many games as the Eagles last year, so I'm not sure it's fair to say they're at the bottom of the division. As long as they suck, that's good enough for me.

I love paper champions. Most of the time it's been the Cowboys. Then Philly and their dream team. Now, the media is riding the Giants jock. Meanwhile, back at Redskins park, we are just, meh. I'm actually surprised he didn't predict the Redskins to finish in 4th. I've already prepared for that. It's coming from someone, somewhere.
    Redskins 2013 Opponents:

Home- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Kansas City, San Diego
Away- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland

    Let's see...

    "RG3 injury"
    "Sophomore slump"
    "Cap penalty"
"No noticeable upgrades in free agency"
    "No 1st round draft pick"
    "Overachieved last offseason"

Yep, all the talking points are there to overlook the Skins and predict them to finish 3rd or 4th in the division. Which I'm hoping happens lol ...

*Edit: hoping the overlooking and dire predictions happen lol ...not the finish.

I would definitely place the Cowboys over the Eagles at this point in time.

I hope to see them at 2-3 in the division, failing spectacularly at a potential Wildcard berth. I don't want them to completely bottom out.

May they forever dwell in Jerruh's Purgatory Of False Hope And Mediocrity

Honestly i don't want the Cowboys to suck that bad. It's way better that they have their hopes up and get crushed in Week 17 to lose the NFC East crown and get eliminated from the playoffs. Haven't all three of us done it to them now in the last 4 year? Last year was probably the most satifying Cowboy victory that i can remember (2005 and 2007 had some good ones but this one took the cake). All those years though those wins aren't that great if it's beating a 3-13 Cowboy team.

7-9 OR 8-8. Far from worst though.

They were 8-8 last year and return the same squad and get back the entire defense that was on I.R. last year.

They will be dangerous as long as they have Witten and romo and Bryant.
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."

wow...even though i hate the cowboys just as much as anyone here..it's pretty early to tell who will be bad and who will be good, dont you think? the draft hasnt even happened! dallas might sign some free agent later on as well. preseason hasnt even started yet. training camps have yet to open up. final rosters havent been determined yet. until then, dallas has just as good a shot as anybody, even the raiders, to make the superbowl.

I'm not sure what to make of the Giants. I know we didn't even have the draft but they are giving the team a makeover. The theme has been to get rid of injury riddled players. And a lot of restructuring as a lot of teams has done. We will see what the Giants will be. I think they are setting things up to be better in 2014. 2013 is up in the air as far as I'm concerned.

The RG3 injury situation has to be of concern to Skins fans. If he isn't back you are in danger of missing the playoffs. If he is back for week 1 Washington wins the division. It's almost a binary situation. The salary cap BS that dogs the Skins and the Cowboys puts both at a competitive disadvantage.
