Default What is your offseason reading?

In other words, what are you reading RIGHT NOW. I'll start:

    The Reivers by Faulkner.

Right now, I'm reading Raymond e Feist (sp?). I liked his stuff as a highschooler, and he's written a bit more since. It's been kind of fun catching up on the stuff I haven't read. Good old Fantasy escapism trash. Fun stuff. His Fairy Tale is still one of my favorite books even though it is very different from the rest of his stuff.
I believe my job as a parent is to give my kids all the blocks they need to build a life in which they can attempt to reach everything they strive for and see anything they can imagine. In a world where everybody finds it easier to destroy than build, I wish for my kids to experience the joy of seeing something for the first time and the love of creating something new.

After hearing everything about the book, I am starting the Da Vinci Code.

Its got a few people up in arms around here. A must read for that reason alone. LOL

Do you typically like horror novels?

John Shirely - Crawlers & Demons (strange reads)

Dan Simmons - Summer of Night & A Winter Haunting. (two very different books)

    Noel Hynd - Ghosts

Read those if you like horror.

I actually have finished three books in the last week and a half. Fear Nothing by Dean Koontz, The High Druid of Shannara by Terry Brooks, and The eyes of Prey by John Sanford. For all you epic fantasy fans The Shannara series by Brooks is awesome reading. The first Shannara book is titled The Sword of Shannara, and is awesome. If you like fantasy you wont regret it.

I just finished a book called Hosts by F. Paul Wilson. I am now reading the next one in the series called The Haunted Air. The books are part of a series called the Repairman Jack Series. I'd highly recommend them to anybody. You can get more information here, http://www.repairmanjack.com

Some others that I've read since the season ended and would recommend are...

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
    Paranoia by Joseph Finder
The Last Jihad and The Last Days by Joel C. Rosenberg
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Started The DaVinci Code but read Hosts instead and now can't read anything but Repairman Jack Novels
