Default How do you change your username?`

I've seen that some people change their username from time to time. Or atleast I think they do. I'm considering doing it if it's possible. I've got a nickname from work I'm thinking about changing it to. Can I do this, if I decide I want to?

Skinsfan, you can change your username any time you want to. At the top of the page, click on 'usercp'. select 'edit profile'. You'll see the box that allows you to change your username, add a signature picture (although that function is disabled for the moment), and specify other preferences.

You might also want to read the 'FAQ' section up in the right hand corner. It'll answer most of your basic questions.

    Welcome to extreme.

Tarhog, I appreciate the feedback. I must be blind or something. I don't see anything about changing your username in "usercp." I see that you can add a picture under your username, but I don't see where you can actually change it. I'm sure I'm missing something.

At the very top there is a box for 'username'..you can change it to whatever you like at any time...just type your new user name and click 'submit modifications'

Your saying, once I click on to "usercp" there should be something at the very top saying "username". All I'm seeing is something that says "control panel for Skinsfan75." The only username options I see are under edit profile, and edit options and they have to do with adding a pic and changing the colors. I honestly don't see anything anywhere to say change Username in usercp. I feel like an idiot

FTR, users have to have 500 posts before they can edit their username.

This practice is employed to allow the community some familiarity with users before they begin editing their account and become virtually unrecognizable... assuming they are relatively new members.

No prob, I appreciate the help. I've become probably more familiar with the "usercp" feature in the last 10 minutes than any other member here!
