DT Phil Hansen, OG Ruben Brown and Buffalo's 3rd round pick this year and next for James.

[ March 21, 2002, 03:02 PM: Message edited by: Die Hard ]
i dont think we would have the cap room for those two big salaries. while i like Ruben i think Hansen is too old.
The Browns offer their 1st, Ben Gay (The player, not the ointment) and a conditional 3rd (If EJ rushes for over 1200 yards in 2003)

Romo - Realistically, you don't even have the salary cap room to trade James either. His signing bonus accelerated would put you over.
Very true. how closely do we have to stick to reality?? lol

anyways this weekend is gonna be bad for me. Have essays i have to work on so if i dont respond to anyone's trade offers its probably because of that.
Romo - As far as the salary cap goes... I would think you just have to be mindful of it without getting ridiculous. The trade offers should be realistic to market value and needs... but let's put a damper on things entirely

Good luck on your essays but you'll still be here. haha
Romo-

What would you like to see for EJ?

Am I missing something here? Why are we even looking for more #1 backs. I say that we have as good a pair of backs in football and either one can takes us where we want to go, lets just get back to filling the other positions. Davis and Carter are more than able to get the job done, and that I have no worries about
BOW- I was just looking at your roster. Any chance you would be willing to part with Courtney Brown or Gerald Warren?

Die Hard-you were right i am back
The best running back in the league is still very much available.

Cleveland, Detroit, Minn, Philly, Houston, Carolina, Arizona.... you would all be much improved with Mr. James in your backfield.

I would like draft picks in quality and quantity.
Romo - I'll trade you Buffalo's 1st round pick NEXT YEAR and our third and lowest second round THIS YEAR.
are you refering to the 36th or 41st pick??
Die Hard:
Just to sum up

E. James for the 41st and your 3rd rounder this year plus the First rounder next year?

Even though I would like to get a first rounder this year just for my own sake of fun I would expect the Bills pick next year to be at least top 5 if not top 10. Plus I suspect next year's draft is going to be better.

So you have a deal
