Default The Official Election 2004 Thread- Post your thoughts on the results here!

I figure, I'd post an official thread for today's election!

The first set of polls are about to close at 7pm, so we will see how the race is going!

I'll be online off and on. Got 2 small tv's setup to watch 2 different channels. Bad thing, the remote works for both sets. Argggh!

Turnout seems to be high, record highs in some places.

I'll still say that I think Kerry will win.

So post away! Remember now, be nice or else you maybe banned; as the board administrators are watching things with a more critical eye!

For those who want early "results" (in quotes because the validity is always in question). Post sites that any one has for folks looking at for early exit polls and predictions (figure many will be partisan one way or another but we can all sort through the mess, and view from both hills will be nice).

    Slate looks to have polls...

Washington Post.com right now is reporting results from KY and Indiana.

So far so good for Bush, but in the KY senate race Bunning is down.

But only 1 percent have been reported in these states

Breaking NEws!!!! Drudge reports Ohio tied... Kerry +1 in Florida.... late surge by Bush (he attributes it to working people getting off of work and voting Bush)

Other sites, blogs and such, are also reporting a tightening in the race... including a plead from Moveon.org for volunteers to help in Ohio.

It's Drudge... and it's Blogs... but admit it... it is interesting.

I voted for Banderik. You know I had no problem with my punch card ballot. One thing here in Ohio- at least in my precinct. Ralph Nader was listen on the ballot and I thought he wasn't allowed? Hmmm.

Cool link to start "official" results without the crappy exit poll assumptions.

I thought all along that Bush would prevail in this election. His combination of God and government seems to appeal to an awful lot of voters.

However many folks here in south Brewster county are mad as hell at Bush for his support of corporate power.

The perception that he is cutting the taxes of rich corporations that in turn send jobs offshore has been a big deal in our small part of the world.

People here also feel they were duped into supporting the invasion of Iraq to take down Saddam. Lots think it was all about the oil, not WMD's.

bush has won GA,KY,IN and Kerry has won VT. Virgina is too close to call. SC to early to call.

I just got a desperate call from the Bush people to vote. They say Kerry is stealing the election. They must be panicing.

    Bush is leading 34-3.

Kentucky and Indiana pop. vote results in....Bush by large margin.

    Vermont has gone Kerry.

    Obviously, no electoral results yet.

The Cspan link is cool. drag cursor over each state and instant results come up.

Curious...how many of you ever suffer from "voter regret"? I mean, you were really undecided on a certain group of opponents but voted anyhow. After you got home and watched the results, you began to feel like you had voted for the wrong candidate.
