Default Who needs to step up today?

I'll be real interested to see who steps up and who steps down today. Because as far as personel goes, this could be the most important game of the season.

Look for Patrick Ramsay to step up. He's due for a break out game of 300+ yards, and he could establish his starting position for next year with a good performance today.

Smooty & Rod Gardner need to step up. If Rod half-asses tomorrow I expect to see him gone. Trade him for a Vet O-lineman or something.

EDIT: Just informed Smoot isn't playing, that could be bad news...

Rod's history and Smoot isn't playing. I feel the defense needs to play the way they have been playing and the offense needs to step it up. To be able to do that the OL has to do its job. I feel we win this one 24-17.

Oh man that's right, Smoot isn't playing. Uh oh...
Not smart to go to the media about your contract issues before the last game of the season, WHICH YOU AREN'T PLAYING IN. Darn Smooty...

This is the game where Sean Taylor steps up and says "THIS IS MY DEFENSE M**********R"

Lavar has been out all year.

Smoot is making love to Champ over the phone listening to some piss poor business advice.

Springs doesn't know what week it is.

Sean Taylor comes out of nowhere and gets 3 picks and knocks Randy Moss out.

    That's what's up.

I actually hope both Taylor Jacobs and Rod Gardner have great games. Jacobs to prove he can be our guy alongside Coles. Gardner, so we can use him in a trade for hopefully a 2nd rounder.

Garnell Wilds will step up hopefully as well, and maybe Ryan Boschetti and Chris Clemons (even more).

It's all about the young guys stepping up today. Nothing that the coaches have seen from guys like Gardner, Dockery, Raymer etc is going to make the coaches sway their mind at this point. They've had a full season to evaluate those players and I'm sure their minds are already made up about who is going to remain with the team and who will have to find a new home.

Pearlman writes that Michael Irvin, incensed that tackle Everett McIver, in mid-haircut, would not leave a barber chair at training camp in 1998 so Irvin could get his haircut first, stabbed McIver in the neck. McIver was rushed to the hospital and survived, but not without losing a lot of blood. Irvin's silence on the charge has been deafening. I asked a Cowboy who played on that team if the story was true. "Absolutely,'' the Cowboy said. "I'm surprised it was kept quiet over the years.''

Jacobs and Taylor both have monster games.

The 12thman needs to step it the hell up too. I shouldn't be able to get 2 tickets for 46 bucks. I'm not complaining, but it's sad.

I'd like to see McCants on the field today and making plays (highly unlikely though). I'd also like to see Ramsey, Jacobs and Betts make plays which I think will happen. Like I said elsewhere, I think Joe loosens the reigns a bit today, especially against a mediocre defense at home.

    1. Betts,to keep culpuker off the field.
    2. Our DBs,especially Walt Harris, to keep those bombs from killing us.
    3. Gibbs in his play calling, can't play conservitive today and hope to sniff a win.
