I'd be willing to bet that it had to do with the timing on the computer program. If I'm right it someone probably thought the 30 minute timing they were planning was actually 30 seconds, because the fireworks didn't all go off at once, they just went off in very quick sequence, and it took about 30 seconds rather than the 30 minutes that most displays take. We'll see.

Pretty bad and pretty expensive though.

The best part is all the people cheering at the end, thinking they've just witnessed the most amazing opening salvo and not realizing that it's over.


Though I do feel bad for the people there. My 4 yo daughter was insanely excited about fireworks for days, and after all the prep work, anticipation, getting there ahead of time, etc., I would have been PISSED beyond belief. And she would have cried
