    Based on?

1st 4 seasons of their careers, thus throwing out this "injured" season therefore Plex's pre 2004.

    Gardner V. Plex

    Catches: 227 v. 227
    Yards: 2997 v. 3466
    TD's: 22 v. 17

Is 469 Yards worth 5 TD's? Certainly not enough to remotely support your hater statement. Plex > Gardner...no doubt. Plex >>> Gardner? Only in your ignorance,

Wow. This thread sure changed the course for the Plax bandwagon. Now if only we can convince them that Mike Williams would be a bad pick, and LaVar isn't going anywhere...............

Cowher is a choker? He is a great coach who keeps putting together winning teams. They went 15 and 1 with a rookie QB only to finaly loose when they ran up against the team of the decade. How about a little perspective?

The FG was too conservative? What chance would they have had with no points? Face facts. If you can't stop the other team, 4 points just doesn't matter. Cowher made the smart call. that's why he is a coach and the author sits behind a desk.

And finally (though there are many more moronic points I could pick on), The Plaxico no catch was FAR from a gimmie. It was a bad throw that somehow Plaxico got a hand on while jumping up, giong backwards, and fighting off two defenders. BTW there were recievers open all over the field that the burgerman missed. It was ponted out on several replays. It's hard to blame a reciever for not having a big game when his rookie QB is in over his head.

If you want to point to Plaxico's carreer numbers to make a point, fine. But to point at one game with a rookie QB against is consistantly one of the best Ds in the NFL that is coached by a mastermind you need to think again.

The bottom line, like it or not, is the Pats are just that damn good.
Dude, this is not the 1st time the steelers have been a #1 seed and lost at home in the AFC championship game. I like Cowher, but he sucks in the big game. I'm pretty sure that was the 5th AFC championship @ home and Pitt has only one 1 under Cowher. 1-4 @ home in the playoffs is a choke. Sorry.

    bulldog, I agree with you.

ESPN scout Gary Horton does also.

Burress has played with a lot more passion this season than I thought he had. Up until this season, I thought he was a HUGE underacheiver, but he really clicked with Big Ben. At camp this preseason, I was watching Plax and I realized I don't think I have ever seen a receiver with more natural talent

One point that I'd make about Burress:

He was playing against a 5'9 cornerback throughout that game. 75% of the time he was manned up, since they were playing 8+ in the box to stop the run. And he consistently couldn't get open or make space.

Watch the tape on NFL Network. Burress just doesn't get separation. And when he does, it's so late in the play that Roethlisberger has already rolled out or moved around so he can't see him any more.

That's the opposite of what we need, folks.

All this sounds a lot like a few thousand threads on ExtremeSkins about Michael Westbrook.

WOW excellent point DH I have never thought of Plax that way!!!!

I would just like to see Plax suceed where ever he went, especially since he is a local boy. And it would be even cooler for him to do it as a Skin.

I personally have never been sold on Plexico, I don't think he is an upgrade over Gardner.
