    Default burress or no.9

What would be cheaper?Idont know what a number 9 pick gets these days.I bet burress would come a lot cheaper since nobody else really wants him.

Burress is another, more expensive, Rod Gardner. Look at his numbers. Not to mention that he was on a 15-1 team that went to the AFC Championship game last year and was was bitching about his role on that team. No thanks.

I'd stay with what we have, then possibly work through the draft. Like Joe said though, there is the possibility of a signing if it is someone that can help the team and fit within the structure of the cap/budget also..watching the wire, seeing who is cut/released that might be able to help.

I still say David Boston..with some 'if's" and only "ifs" scenario. might be the top tier guy at a low cost if he can get his act together and someone takes a chance on him.

Plax wants a one year contract now, since he is not gettign the big money he was hoping for. that might work out well since he would be on a contract year and would want to excell. that would give us a year to develop mike williams or whoever to take his place in 2006.

I agree, I don't know what the hype was about him, probibly because he is a new face.
Most team rather have Gardner then plexico, Gardner is getting more interest than Plex, and Gardners on contract.

I agree. Let him play out his contract. You have nothing to lose.

A #9 pick on a WR will garner anywhere from a 10-14 million dollar signing bonus depending on how rediculous the contracts in front of our pick are.

If I had to choose i'd take Plax over say a Mike Williams. Plax would be cheaper and has both the speed and physical tools.

Still either way I don't want a WR with our top pick or another FA WR.

I would prefer to keep our #9 pick over signing Burress.

I still think our primary need is at CB in this year's draft with WR being a close second.

Only if Boston's deal comes with a free crate of knee braces and a few urinalysis cups...

I like Burress, but not at the money he wants.

Burress would want too much and has never proven that he can be a #1/#2 receiver.
