Default Reed considering holding out from Ravens training camp

According to Comcast, Ed Reed now is considering holding out from training camp if he doesn't get a new contract. He has two years left.

    Hmm, who's next. Ray Lewis?

Great, I hope he and Sean Taylor are working out together.

Do people now maybe think that Taylor working out with his "U" buddies wasn't the best thing for the Redskins?
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

Maybe, but it's not anyone on the Redskins fault.

Maybe Gibbs SHOULD let Portis have a few days off to go down their and get in his ear about starting to act like a man.

Reed should hold out, he was a monster last year and he should get his big bonus. There is always that risk of injury and if its serious, then there is no way the Ravens would resign him with a big deal.
Sean Taylor is definetly my favorite player now.

Sorry if I was unclear, I don't think this is the Skins fault at all.

My comments were directed at those on this board who were saying that it's no big deal where a guy works out in the offseason. Again, sorry if my post made it seem like I blamed Joe and Co.

    Gotta love those 'U' men.

Yeah, they bring it on Gameday...just don't ask for anything more.

I heard this as well on ESPNEWS. In Ed Reed's defense, the blurb said he's due to make about 600K this season. He's definitely worth more than that

Big deal. Not the first to hold out over a new contract.

I was just posting this in the context of the whole Moss/Taylor situation along with the "U" bashing on the board.

Ed Reed actually has a case to hold out.. he has actually played out a good portion of his rookie contract... as for Taylor, he has had a few good games, tons of potential, a dui, and a bad attitude this summer... no way he deserves anythign more than what he is getting now.

    no biggie

I'd prefer to have him with his team, but I also think it is being way over-dramatized.

Moss, on the other hand, because of his circumstances should absolutely be here.

I gotcha, but some people sure are going to run with it and spin to "The U is Evil"

Reed actually should get a new contract though. Isn't he still on his rookie deal? Plus he was taken like at pick 25, which means he's making peanuts(in NFL standards anyway).

I'm not suprised.....it's the MO of every NFL player now since TO has established that you can get your way if you make enough noise.

Can you imagine.... every player saying..."hey...I'm not making enough... .I think I'll hold out for a mega deal". It's amazing..... it's almost as if the players of the "U" think they're doing you a favor by playing for you.

And..if the "U" is such a powerhouse, how come they couldn't beat the Hokies last year to win the ACC?
