I've heard his "truth" and it sounds like a conspiracy theory. I remember listening to an interview where he says the redskins kicked him out because he couldn't sell anymore jerseys. I mean, that's pushing it, the guy had two big time injuries that would side line any player and the result was Lavar slowing down. The giants would have kept him more if that wasn't the case. I just hope I get a chance to listen to one of his meltdowns.

I would certainly like a choice. I don't know if I would change from the sports reporters over to them, but any of ESPN's coverage is not what I would consider untouchable.

I am puzzled about this report especially after the ratings came out two weeks ago that put his show over the top. He was celebrating the ratings by getting plowed on a Friday. Putting Arrington on the air is not much better than putting Mike Tyson on the air... almost as bad as giving Rod Gardner a radio show. I have a hard time believing this report. Doesn't make sense with the ratings. I listen to WJFK whenever I'm in the car.

I know what you are saying. I'd think a format switch would only hurt their ratings.

When Jim Rome was on WJFK for a stint last year, I tried listening. He was terrible and he talked about sports and cities that I didn't even care about. It got to a point where I would just turn off WJFK when Rome came on.

This is exactly what will happen if WJFK actually does switch formats. I'd try and listen and then I'd turn it off. I have a hard time believing that I'd be the only one.

Agreed. Rome is the king of dead air. Just awful!!! I fear that Wise and Arrington might turn into that and listeners are going to be changing stations real quick.

DCRTV has been reporting that WJFK will change formats for months... there's been a couple times where they've said it will happen by a definite date and it has not. So I would be somewhat skeptical of this report.

Paul Farhi from the "Station Break" at WashingtonPost.com confirms that on July 20th, WJFK will go "all sports".

As far as the radio no one can be worse the BMitch dude sucked and he was ahole in person..matter of fact he took pride in being a jerk. He was jelous of every player because he could never be more then a special teams player

Maybe Lavar could STFU and learn something. He could have been the best ever. Instead he's a washed up has-been, trying to stay relevant to a fan base that owes him nothing, all because he knew everything. Just ask anyone who coached him.

Look at a guy like Ray Lewis or Brian Urlacher. These guys are students of the game and poured everything they had into the position. It shows. For Lavar, it didn't, despite his having far superior athletic skills to either of them

So yah, when someone like that blasts a coach who works 18 hour days, it's pretty pathetic.

Gibbs is not God. But Gibbs is the best coach this team has ever had, he has brought us our only Super Bowl victories (3 of them), and he is the ultimate class act.

I thank Joe Gibbs for his return. Unfortunately, people on this board seem to lack long-term memories. Both times Joe Gibbs came to coach this franchise, he took it to a level that myriad coaches before him could not. Not HOFer Vince Lombardi, not HOFer Otto Graham, not HOFer George Allen, not Jack Pardee, not Norv Turner, etc., etc. Regardless of the reasons for the others' failures, only Joe Gibbs has brought us any measure of true success. Respect.

When Joe Gibbs came to a team with a strong nucleus, he made our franchise elite. He won the first championship for the Skins in 40 years! Then he won two more in the next 9 years.

When Joe Gibbs came to a team that was a freaking laughingstock for a decade, save one year--led by Patrick Ramsey and Trung Canidate no less(!!)--he made our franchise respectable again. He took the team to two playoff berths in four years, with one playoff victory. Yes, he did not achieve everyone's goal of a championship, and from that perspective he did not succeed. However, given that the prior five coaches took the Skins to the playoffs only once, with one playoff victory, Gibbs II was still more successful than any Skins coach since...you guessed it...Gibbs I.

Oh, and Joe Gibbs was the only coach ever to take LaVar to the playoffs as a Skin. LaVar won exactly one playoff game as a professional football player, with Joe Gibbs as his coach. I would be grateful if I were LaVar.
