My point exactly. You can only work on one project at a time. Sadly, Campbell has/had more upside than Brennan.

for all the hate that colt gets and as poorly as he played for most of the preseason, its surprising he hasnt been injury waived. if the coaching staff or front office thought nothing of him he'd have been let go dont you think?

6th round 3rd string Super Bowl MVP.

In burgundy and gold.

Where one starts out isn't necessarily where one ends up. That such a basic fact of reality is wilfully perverted by the 17er trash in order to downgrade CB5 demonstrates their sick political agenda.

Chris Samuels going down was the worst thing that could have happened this year.

edit: AND IT HAPPENED.

Theismann was a third stringer behind Sonny and Billy. The team went with experience first back then and probably did the same again. Until Colt starts a regular season game, there is nothing to compare him to. IMO, he deserves a chance to compete for the starting position next year. Just like JC, he has had to learn different offensive plays from numerous coaches.

Retard,

In the whole scheme of things with respect to falsity, you and your ilk occupy the lowest strata. You're not merely mistaken. You're not wrong because of factual error or misinterpretation. Faulty logic isn't to blame.
Those things are forgivable. Every bit of spin emanating from you stems directly from the fact that you are all a bunch of lowlife *******s.

That you are such is attributable to a warped desire.

That warped desire happens where you find massive character defect.

Therefore it is impossible to explain to you that the true pursuit is a Championship, which represents the greatest good for the greatest number. Your warped desire zeroes in on one shady ****ed up aspect of the lowlife perspective, where the greatest good is some dim synaptic ruin of a notion benefiting only the dumbass.

And yes, you are that much of an idiot because you attempted to refute my point about 6th round 3rd stringers with your o-line mantra. You don't need an all time great o-line to win it all: see Steelers, 2008.

Colt Brennan is not the answer... he is not the future... at his best, he is a second string... so don't have Man crush on that guy. Albridge should have been given few chances to at least play and prove himself...

I can't say I am a fan of Brennan, but I do believe he deserves a chance next season. My plan for next year would be to draft oline with our top picks, keep Colt, bring in a vet and draft a QB in the mid-to-late rounds. I'm not sold on Bradford being the real deal in the NFL.

He just received a few months of "lighten-up" opportunity.

He also offered a great example of how to take posting a football opinion to the point of self-immolation.

A little chance at making it is a lot better than no hope (Jason Campbell). And to a lot of people's comments about the OL, I absolutely agree it makes it that much harder on anyone, let alone a 6th round project that has never taken a snap in the regular season.

But don't tell me that if he was healthy and Zorn said "We're starting Brennan this week" that nearly every Redskins fan would be excited about the upcoming week. Hope is a beautiful thing, no matter how unlikely it is. That's the point of my thread.

I 100% realize we have many other problems than QB, specifically OL. But look at Aaron Rogers in Green Bay. Go to NFL.com and see how many times he's been sacked. You'll see that he's been sacked 31 times - 11 more times than Campbell. You know what? Throw out the stats. Just go back and watch the last two Green Bay games. The guy is getting MURDERED. Absolutely killed. You know what though? He has a 110.4 QB rating. 110 point freakin 4. That's the best in the NFL. He's completing over 65% of his passes, thrown 14 tds and only 2 picks. Green Bay is also 4-3 fighting for a playoff spot.

Great QBs make plays despite short comings. If Campbell was the answer, we may not be 5-2 with our o-line. But we'd be in the playoff race despite all our defencies. We might end up 8-8 or 9-7 and fall just short, but we'd be going into the off-season knowing we have our QB and knowing we just need to get him an OL.

I'm not saying Brennan is Aaron Rogers. There's a 1% chance he can be. But that's 1% more than Jason Campbell.
and this ladies and gentlemen, is the best post in this thread so far. Very well said man.
