I disagree that it looking out for your own interests. That is giving your company an unfair advantage and using my money to line his pockets.

I meant that he is looking out for HIS own interests. There's nothing illegal about that.

If you want to line your own pockets with tax money, you'll have to hire your own lobbyists.
