I too find it appalling that Nazi imagery is being used and further disturbing that people liken the very real horror of the death camps and genocide to health care reform.

But since I didn't get the names and affiliations of who was flying the banner, I shouldn't be disgusted, I should just be quiet and wait for Kristall Nacht.

I can't prove that picture on that banner was taken at Dachau. For all I know it was taken at Disneyland on their new Hate Mountain roller coaster.
For all I know it could be being held up by the ghost of Hitler himself, and since i can't prove otherwise, I'll just have to assume that possibility exists. hell, Al Gore himself might be holding the banner, but I can't see if it's made of recycled paper. (If it was, well, you just know the nazi is an evil liberal, and very likely COULD be Al Gore.)

Your side did it!
No your side did it!
No you!
No you!
Nein!
Ja!
Nein!
Ja!

United in the desire to choke one another, at least. By the by, anyone stupid enough to believe or be swayed by a banner like that needs a nail driven into their skull. Or their genitals. Whichever place will actually do some harm.

That banner is horrible. It reminds me of a banner flown at an anti-war protest that said "I'll support the troops ... when they shoot their officers."

Some people are just crazy.

The left is in power right now. What speech have they banned?

Some of the Dems in Congress would LOVE to get the Fairness Doctrine passed. If that's not trying to stifle free speech, nothing is.

'Some' people on either side of the aisle would love to do just about anything. This is what we are specifically talking about:

Just don't ask any questions that may paint us in a negative light. Okay?

Of course leftist demonstraters against George Bush were the very essence of class. How often did those unimaginative dirtbags invoke Hitler when trying to describe Bush? Now it's suddenly off limits?

Mentioning Hitler/Nazis/The Holocaust as a political metaphor has become so commonplace that it almost lacks meaning now.

Reminds me of the old Internet rule: first one to compare the other side to the Nazis loses. In this case, the guy with the banner lost.

Sorry, Destino, but the folks who have been labeling the opposition as Nazis and the like have been the liberals/left. Own it.
You couldn't be more wrong. Destino has been a tireless Nazi comparison condemnator regardless of party affiliation.

Thanks. Though I can't take all the credit. Being that it was so massive that it took two large poles to hold it up it was hard to miss.

Frist of all I have never heard his cabinet referred to as "the Gestapho". That's new to me. Second there is a great deal more to this than calling someone a Nazi and I don't appreciate your attempt to water this down for sake of argument. Did you notice the other signs and banners calling Obama a nazi? I have they show up at ever rally. I didn't single any of those out.

I singled the one showing dead bodies, presumably of nazi victims, for argument against health care. It really drives me up a ****ing wall that anyone would defend that, like you are doing now. It also annoys me because I happen to know 2 people suffering with "preexisting conditions" and characterizing those SUPPORTING reform as the killers strikes a cord with me.

Having said that I was very critical of the anti-war movement. My favorite anti-war moment was when some fat retard holding a communism banner asked me if I wanted to buy weed from him... i said no... to which he responded "capitalist pig". Lovely movement those anti-war people.

So your party isn't doing it? You seen I wasn't a part of the anti-war movement so to some extent I can wash my hands of this... something tells me you support these people though eh? But you want ME to own it?

How about you stop being a coward and call it like you see it.

What speech is the left trying to ban? Did the left demand Palin be thrown in prison for Treason when she went to red china and slammed the President?

I had a problem with it then. Perhaps you didn't. If you've always supported the use of Nazi imagery such as this then congratulations you are consistent.

... and you've been consistently wrong minded for a long time. yay?

I would have to say that invoking the image of victims of the Holocaust is a step above and beyond the typical level of douchebaggery present at political rallies.

just google Larouche, healthcare reform and nazi and you will see this undeniable fact.
I suppose the main distinction is that nobody on ES defends LaRouche the way Republicans are defending the teabagging imbeciles and denying what happened in this thread.

Also, LaRouche is a fringe idiot with zero traction or representation in Congress whereas the idiots who called these imbeciles to washington to put on this show of stupidity were Republican Congresspeople.

Damn, these people are stupid. Is there a college educated person in that whole bunch? If they were informed at all, they would be protesting outside Goldman Sachs, Cigna, Aetna, etc. You know, the entities that are really ****ing them over. That is unless any of them are rich.

We need an anti-corporate lobbyist movement. This teabagger movement is just racist, disgusting, and asinine.
