Want to know why?
Because Atlanta's defense respect Collins as a threat in the pocket, Nobody
in this league is scared of Jason Campbell, he's a deer in the headlights.

What Collins gives us is the best chance to win with what we have now, the best chance not to waste another world class defense on a crappy Offense.

Collins kept us out of our regular 3 and 10+ conversion attempts didn't he?
When the chains are moving and yardage is getting eaten up well, defenses can't tee off on Jason's stare and syrup slow response to the development of the play. By the time he reacts the window is closed and then he's in trouble. Sure he has had a hard time with the protection but Collins didn't get sacked did he?
Collins didn't fumble did he?
Collins didn't make himself more vunerable in the pocket did he?
Collins showed effective mobility on the bootleg didn't he, how mobile does he have to be.
Besides when your as accurate as Collins is you don't have hit the big one to save your game, like Campbell does.
Ryan didn't have to run much today either. Would you say that he wasn't a mobile quarterback in your line of reasoning?
This entire post is based on the false premise that the box was stacked while JC was in the game--thus preventing us from running the ball--but you're wrong on both counts.

The Skins can't score more than 17 points.

Coincidence?

More of a sideways ballerina leg whip twist, very stylish but ineffective on TURNER. Did Brandon Jacobs of the Giants de nut this guy? He had 2 good plays all day, the penalty and the stop on 3rd and 2.

Again, I am not referring to the running game at all except to say that the defense respects Collins more than they do Campbell.
So my premise is Campbells inability to get the ball out quickly and on target is why Atlanta was more worried by the pass and that is why the draw play opened up for us, where it is non existent for Jason.

We ran some successful draws with Campbell in there during the 3rd quarter, if I recall correctly.

After a good night's sleep, I read this thread up to post #160, and can safely assume that we lost .............. again. I've not seen a scoreline as yet, but I'm guessing we scored no more than 17 points, and played catch-up in the second half.

I am happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

At least we can look forward to a top 5 draft pick, and who knows, we might even draft a WR!

Well, before he made a complete fool of himself and cost us the game, my remark was to how Landry's questionable illegal hit out of bounds ( Ryan was still in bounds ), I think it was a correct call. But, the point that after that moment all the players seemed to wake the F### up and resume playing like Pro's should play. Like they should play from 2 seconds after opening kick off.
What did Landry do? He made everyone on defense mad for a change!

Sometimes a personal foul is team benefit. Hail.

Sure, a few..... IS did you notice how fast Collins was delivering the ball on that quick slant, and how he stood in the pocket and delivered almost while being hit, again on target hitting the player in stride??

This is something you hardly get to see in 12 passes with Jason. Collins did it 3 for 3 to start out with and Moss dropped a perfectly placed ball which too could have swung the game our way. What does it take for some people to stop making excuses for Jason. Sure, he had a great play in the end zone to Yoder. Even I have stated that in a previous post, but even a blind pig finds and acre now and then.

Right on Dude. Did anyone else hear Zorn confirm almost word for word my post after that play? Zorn put it on Jason, saying we would all hope that Davis would catch that one. It was out in front and hot, it would have been a spectacular catch if he made it. He said he try's to tell his QB to keep those type passes into the core of the player.

When a TE is stretching like a cat on a hot tin roof only to barely make contact with the ball it's not how it was drawn up.

I wonder how long it will take for someone to say Davis sucks and is a bust, but Jason just,"Needs more time". I say poppycock to that notion sir.

What game were you watching? 2 of his first 3 passes were screens, both of which yielded NO yardage. His 4 completions for the day got us a whopping 12 YARDS! JC was 15 of 22 for 196 and had 3 well thrown balls dropped (2 by Moss and 1 by Thomas)

When everyone in this forum was DROOLING over Ryan/Brees last week in that Monday night game, did you not notice their receivers making catches like that ALL game? WAY harder catches than Davis' drop actually. No one was talking about Brees or Ryan not throwing a perfect pass. Sometimes the receivers have to make a play. That was a play Davis needs to make. It would not have been the catch of the season, week, or game so please stop making it seem like it was so difficult.

Sean you were one hell of a safety and an even greater role model for young men like myself. You played my position with the same reckless abandone I play it with. More importantly, you WEREN'T perfect and you MADE mistakes, a lot like me, and you were growing and maturing into a man, a lot like what I'm trying to do. And the fact that you're gone now only motivates me more, as a safety and as a young man, to carry on your legacy.

Landry killed any chance that we had at a comeback.

Collins didn't do anything that Campbell hadn't done in the game; the same play (slant to ARE) was dropped by Moss when Campbell threw it earlier in the game. Hell, Thomas also dropped one of those. Collins' touch pass that was dropped by Moss was nearly identical to Campbell's touch pass to Sellers in the first half.

When have I made an "excuse" for Campbell in this thread? His play yesterday doesn't need excusing; his play was fine.
