Will it be the Cowpukes?.....then a little bit happier than another team
I think we are at the point of contemplating draft position

It's hard to get too excited about a pre-season win. Just kidding! (I hope)

Well I will probably be excited because I don't see us getting another win the rest of this season. Starting out 1-0 next year would be great.

I will be puzzled. I think the Skins' next win will come against a good team and they will have given a full 60-minute effort in stealing one. This will leave me as puzzled as ever wondering why they couldn't do that earlier in the season. Then they'll lose to the Raiders and...

I hope it is next season....I want the draft pick that will come from our ineptitude and total lack of an offensive line!....
Of course, if Vinny is still around, he will tell us that we need another DE, LB or DB and snowjob 90% of ES again into thinking there is no need on the OL; and that we will address that need in 2011, because we still have Randy Thomas, Chris Samuels, etc. and that they are going to finally be healthy this year....like the last 4 years or so. I am pretty sure that Vinny will disguise the wheel chairs in every photo like FDR. Last edited by hfmonk; November-8th-2009 at 10:22 PM.. |

when we win next week, I'm gonna feel pretty good. It'll probably signal the end for Portis as we watch Campbell put up a 300 yard game with 3 TDs and have Betts with over 100 yards. People are gonna say, "was portis the problem all along" and "can we still make a run for it".
Then people will be calling bubba psychic for predicting it last week.

At this point, I can't imagine it so I can't tell you how I might feel.

+1 Look, this season has been miserable. Starting out 2-6 is certainly not what anyone has wanted, or expected, from our Skins. But I can't approach each week wanting us to lose so that our draft status improves. I will be happy with a win. Even if that feeling only lasts for a few days. The performance this season has left me feeling kind of deflated, but I still can't wait each Sunday to see the game. Can you honestly say that you didn't get fired up when our offense started charging back in the second half on Sunday? I know, I know, we blew the game in the end. But I felt that spark of hope during our comeback, and I know how fired up I'll be when we get another win. It's always a long offseason. Football season is here, and I will find some happiness in any wins right now. ![]() |

It's gotten pretty bad for me. Even when they were making a comeback against Atlanta, I knew they were going to blow it somehow, either with a big play on defense or a turnover on offense.
I think I'll be pleasantly shocked, but a win this season really means nothing in the grand scheme of things except possibly knocking us out of the top 5 in the draft. Its hard to get excited over something that means nothing.
