I watched the Terminator premier on Fox last night - and was a little disappointed - but got to thinking. Out of all the movies I've seen, who was the most bad-ass female lead in a movie? Linda Hamilton from Terminator 2 immediately came to mind because of what I happened to be watching on TV. Sigourney Weaver from the Alien movies also popped in. Nothing else readily jumps to mind unless you want to go the supernatural/fantasy route such as Kate Beckinsale in Underworld or Carrie Ann Moss in the Matrix movies. I think in the end I'm leaning towards Sigourney Weaver.
watcha got here?

I know this is going back some years but Pam Grier in "Coffy" and "Foxy Brown" was the siht back in the day.

After watching T2 recently Linda Hamiliton was a complete bad ass.
Holding the needle of plumbing cleaner to the guys throat, being stabbed through the shoulder. She's got my vote. |

Kate Beckinsale in Underworld gets my vote, very good, and I usually don't like movies with women in that type of role

She wasn't really the lead but Nurse Ratched scared (and continues to scare) the hell out of me.

Yeah, Linda gets my top vote too. Some others:
Has anyone seen the movie Strange Days? Angela Bassett is extremely badass in that movie. And then there's Jenette Goldstein in Aliens. She wasn't the lead (she was Vasquez) but she brought such a level of badassery to the screen I had to give her a mention. And of course there's Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. Though I think Lucy Lui's character was my favorite. Rosario Dawson in Sin City was pretty badass too. If they make a sequal she'll probably be even more badass. ![]() And I would have to turn in my geek card if I didn't mention Princess Leia, with an honorable mention to Eowyn in Return of the King. ![]()

There are so many. Pam was great in all of her films, but my vote would have to go to the ladies in Death Proof. It's not as if they had a bad ass attitude, it's more about how they were able to finally get the guy in the end.

I've always liked Lucy Liu myself as well....she was pretty bad-ass in Ballistic with Antonio Banderas. We could go the Asian route a little further and might toss in a mention to Michelle Yeoh from 'Supercop' (Jackie Chan). However, I'm still leaning towards Weaver and Hamilton. Then there's the Serenity movie and Zoe (Gina Torres) ---I have my geek card laying here somewhere too ![]()

I'd have to go with Kill Bill.

Keira's cute and Domino was okay, but it was mighty hard to believe she was any kind of an azz-kicker. She's about 85 pounds soaking wet.
