Is Jason Campbell a franchise QB? Is he a great season away from being the franchise QB? How long do the Redskins give him before looking elsewhere? How much does Rabach affect Campbell's development? Will Campbell thrive in a WCO? Sorry for all the questions but I want to find out what people really think about the guy.

We Giant's fans have given Eli over 4 years to get comfortable but yet after 20 starts people think JC is either a bust or has the potential.
Give the kid time. |

Give him time and for goodness sake some stability in an offensive system to see what he is capable of.
In other words, we don't know yet. |

I don't think anybody really has the answer for that yet. I, for one, am hoping. His tool box seems pretty full, and I'm counting on Zorn to draw up a blueprint JC is capable of constructing. JC needs time in the pocket to learn his reads. Only then can he move on to speeding things up. A WR would help too.

I can't believe I'm saying this but from what I've seen from games played against you 'Skins....JC has shown me some potential. When I first heard you benched Brunell(sp) for this kid I thought "Good just some scrub kid who will finish the year and they will draft a QB in the 1st....if they have a 1st" Next thing I know the kid is a starter in the league. From games we've played against him I can say that he has potential. I kind of compare the kid to Warren Moon a big QB who can move if need be. I think you just need the right team around him, it took us Giant's 4+ years to get Eli comfortable with the tools he has. Last edited by BlueInCanada; February-18th-2008 at 09:05 PM.. |

Jason Campbell is going to be very good IMO. Jim Zorn will work with him and get him ready for the season plus he ran the WCO in his last year at Auburn. I might be wrong on that one but I remember hearing that or reading it somewhere. Isn't that why we drafted him? Because of his last years performance at Auburn. I think that Campbell will do a lot better this year.

We've seen him shine, and we've seen him falter. I believe he has all the skills required to succeed, but so did Ryan Leaf and Tim Couch. He has soo many weapons and talented players around him, so hopefully he can pull it all together and succeed before they begin to age. We'll see, but I believe he is.

he was his best when he could develop a rhythm, which is what the WCO is all about, so I feel he has at the worst a 2 year leash, but really he should put up or shut up this coming year. This coming year is the equivilent of T. Romo this past year, when you look at number of years in the NFL. If campbell can't lead the team this year then I say we look for a stud QB.
I love campbell but we have to prepare ourselves JUST in case somethig doesn't click

Zorn will be the determining factor in how his career is going to go IMO. If Zorn is successful and can coach out his contract then YES, Campbell can be a franchise Qb but if Zorn fizzles in his first or second season then Campbell will too IMO. Just too much change for one guy to be successful.

. I think this year in the WCO will be a telling year for JC. I have bashed Eli from time to time but even in his 2nd and 3rd year I thought that guy was money in the 2 minute drill and always seemed to show the potential in some games but never seemed to be able to put it all together. Once the playoffs started this year Eli did everything that you could ever ask for in a Qb. So give JC some time, he has shown flashes but this will be a big year for JC to show what he can do.
