Another round, another victory! Let's keep up the voting as we take on our rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. The same Eagles who's fans broke Chief Zee's leg. Let's kick Swoop's feathered ass and prove the "experts" wrong again!

If this battle comes down to most fervent fanbases, it's all she wrote for the Redskins' velour-donning Indian chief. If it comes down to the animalistic traits of bird-based mascots (avian 16 seed Poe is thriving in the AFC, as well), it's all she wrote for the Redskins' Hall of Fame superfan. If it comes down to mascot allies, it's all she wrote for Zema Williams (Captain Fear?!).

If it comes down to weightlifting, looking angry, and pretending to assault Cowboys cheerleaders (see previous link), again, Swoop is your logical mascot candidate.

But if it comes down to character, personality, stamina and this competition's keyword -- fierceness -- it's hard to write off 8th seed Chief Zee.

We've talked in this space about his longevity.

We've talked in this space about his awards and recognitions.

We've talked in this space about his love for helping Washington D.C. area residents save money on their next used car purchases.

And we've also talked about a dark day, back in 1983, when Philly fans (the same ones who adore Swoop) hulked out on Chief Zee.

Right, that's where it was last time. When I submit my vote, that little box just goes away. I even tried voting for the dolphins (vs. Poe) and it did the same thing. I keep clicking on Zee and submitting, so it's either taking all those votes, and I just can't see the results, or it's not working.

Odd. It should be receiving the votes though.

EDIT: I just went back and it was doing the same thing. They may just be hiding the results for various reasons.
