I know this season isn't even close to being over with, but with the news of Giants ending Plax's season coming out, he could possibly become available this off season. We have GOT to make a play on this guy. I know a lot of you are going to point to his character concerns, but a player of his talent is too good to pass up.

I've been thinking about this myself today and I don't see how it's a bad deal. The Redskins are character guys and I think that after this incident he will be desperate to turn himself around.
He certainly would help the receiving game.

That's not even funny. What about center? Huh? Huh?

Well I would be fine with it, but the prison system doesn't let inmates play ball.

We really don't need someone on this team with his "thug mentality. Pass.

Plax is better than both of them. He is a premier receiver and he's BIG, which is exactly what we need. Not saying the rookies won't turn out...but you know what your getting with him.

If he gets out and genuinely demonstrates a desire to move on and be a better person, then absolutely.
I've always been a huge fan of his. His playing style is more lethal than TO's. At least you can jam and double Plax. Ask Al Harris and the Packers if playing against Plaxico physically is a good idea. Quote:
Foolish, yes. Idiotic, hell yeah. Thug? Using that logic, Sean Taylor was a thug. He used a weapon to turn away criminals after they tried to rob him. Thug? No, just safe. You could say a smart person wouldn't go to a place where they would need a gun, but you can't call him a thug just because of one incident. That's ignorant beyond belief.

Unless he's an offensive lineman, I think I'm going to pass.

Sign Plax. Cut Thrash. Move ARE to permanent Punt Returner (while restructuring his contract) or cut him too, and let Hall return punts. Though I'd rather keep ARE, he's got a ton of character.

with the amount of money he'll want, I'd rather go after someone younger. Boldin and Fitzgerald always come to mind.
I'm not sure of their contract status, but guys like Brandon Marshall and Roddy White stand out as well. I would be for getting Burress, however, his attitude concerns me. It's not even his character that I care about, just that attitude. He's got his ring, I wonder how much he cares anymore.
