After the past year of listening to the ridiculousness surrounding Colt Brennan, I for one an extremely pleased that this franchise finally drafted its quarterback of the future.
A quick look at the stats bears this out nicely. Despite playing in the most QB-friendly system ever devised by a football coach AND playing in the WAC, a 3rd rate conference that includes Idaho and New Mexico State, and from which you cannot name a single defensive player (ever) Brennan amassed exactly 1678 more yards in the same amount of years starting. Meanwhile, Daniel was playing in the Big 12, which has real talent and is probably the 2nd best conference over Daniel's college tenure. Fact: The WAC had a total of 5 defensive players drafted this year. Highest picked was 52nd overall. Fact: The Big 12 had a total of 11 defensive players drafted. Highest pick was Orakpo with the 13th overall. Fact: Chase Daniels made Jeremy Maclin look like a 19th overall pick. Fact: Chase Daniel eats thunder and craps lightening. Mizzou sucked before Daniels showed up. Meanwhile, Tommy Chang did almost the same thing Brennan did at Hawaii. Daniels is a 3 time academic All American. Brennan got a Comm degree. Daniels did all this in the Big-12, not the WAC. Last edited by PleaseBlitz; April-28th-2009 at 10:19 AM.. |

I think there is little question that Chase will be the next guy with his name in the NFL.

Meh...another spread QB. Let's see what he's got in the pre-season before we start the cult.

Staff merging such threads during the actual draft days is typical. This is fine now, and could be fun since the "QB cult" angle is now an established (saints preserve us) ES theme.

I heard him reffered to as Okie Lite. Okie being Vick, lite being...well probably a number of things. Any man that eats boogers probably has some extra protein in his body, so he is A OK with me.

There is no way that Chase is better than Colt.
After all, he has been a Redskin for nearly two days now and I have yet to see one new board member from Missouri. Colt is a contender, Chase a pretender. Aloha.
