Default WHY Murda Inc. WHY!!!!!!

Ja Rule's Manager Arrested Over Money Laundering

by Lowri Williams on 11/18/2004 More News Articles...

The manager of rap star Ja Rule has been arrested for money laundering.

US Federal officials have broadened their investigation into criminal activity at the label, The Murder Inc. reports the LA Times.

The record label is part of the Universal Music Group and is home of stars such as Ja Rule and Ashanti.

The 29-year-old manager Ron "Gutta" Robinson was arraigned on money laundering charges and released on a $500,000 bail.

The indictment is the result of a two year investigation by the US Attorneys office in Brooklyn in which they were assessing the extent of links between the label and a former drug lord known as ‘Supreme’.

It is alleged that Robinson conspired to launder more than $1million between 1997 and 2002 that involved money from drug trafficking.

Defence attorney Stacey Richman for Robinson said her client would contest the charges, but made no further comment.

Murda Inc hurt themselves when they aligned themselves with Death Row. They were just asking for trouble. Then they flocked to the Rap-A-Lott label. They were practically begging for this to happen.
